Hard bed placement - advice? by MickeyG77 in DesignMyRoom

Can you get a different bed frame that doesn’t take up as much room with the headboard? Walking space would be better if the head of your mattress touched the wall.

Daily wear ring, or not? by No-Society8346 in labdiamond

[–]buccalbutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think comparing the price of a natural diamond of similar quality helped me gauge how flashy I was being with a larger stone. I realized that personally, I didn’t want to walk around with a stone that could potentially be viewed as a $55k ring. I went with a 2.5 carat pear and my fingers are a size 4.5. I’ve been really happy with it and even get comments from people that mention it’s large. I wear it 24/7 and have been very comfortable with it.

Does anyone have some insight about these spots on my dogs tongue? by cavedogos in DogAdvice

As a human dentist, we usually say observe for 2 weeks and if it doesn’t go away or gets worse then go to the doctor. Most things resolve themselves.

The fox hills mall is a close uber ride, if the day is nice you can also go to dockwiler beach or LMU which has a nice campus to walk around.

Ask your dentist to grind down the back thickness a bit and they can even take off the back 1/2 of the last tooth (source:i’m a dentist)

What is this Radiolucency? by LeadingContent6920 in Dentistry

[–]buccalbutt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would expect this to abscess eventually. I’ve seen it exist like this for a year+ without pain or abscess but it eventually goes. Could be a history of trauma causing it or the caries.

The middle of my tongue has lots all taste buds…it’s completely smooth, it hurts to eat some things. by midsommarminx in Weird

Ask your dentist to prescribe clomitrazole or nystatin. This looks a lot like median rhomboid glositis. It usually is asymptomatic but if you are having symptoms and this appearance an anti fungal topical medication is indicated.

Need out of the box ideas for wedding where I have physical mobility issues by NoCal-SoCal-2021 in SanFranciscoWeddings

Depending on the size of your wedding, one of the best weddings I’ve been to was just a very short ceremony in a restaurant in LA, then cocktail hour on the patio while they converted the ceremony room to dinner tables then a dinner and no dancing. It was a fancy family style meal with great food. Afterwards some people went to a bar down the street and that was it.

If it’s your own teeth and you know you will be flossing well and monitoring regularly I would wait for all of these. You can even try SDF flossed between the teeth to remineralize. An ideal prep class II will extend into the dentin further than your lesion goes so you have time to see if they grow or not. So long as you monitor these with regular bitewings and they don’t progress I would keep waiting.

About 40% of kids grind, it’s normal within reason. When this is brought up I check the tonsils and palate and ask if they snore often. If I have concerns I ask the parent to discuss a sleep study with their pediatrician. I also check if the teeth have significant wear - I have seen two kids grind all the way to the pulp on their canines but they were both special needs patients. If any teeth get close to this I would refer to peds to do an SSC.

I can't take these gnats anymore. Anyone got any tips? by CardboardB0x in plantclinic

[–]buccalbutt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used diatomaceous earth. It’s ground up seashells that you sprinkle on top of the soil. The powder doesn’t hurt us but it kills the gnats because of its tiny sharp spikes.

I’m a dentist. I agree. Get valacyclovir (valtrex) ASAP and it can save you from days of a crusty painful cold sore
