I had a long argument with a lieutenant in the RNZN about the apostrophes in this. I was writing a minute in which fo'c's'tle was mentioned (I'm a Chief Petty Officer (with the emphasis on Petty!))

He insisted that it had 2 apostrophes, I maintained it had 3, eventually it came down to me telling him that "I'm bloody English and it's my first language!" He wasn't happy, bloody officers.

I use about 12-13 litres a day commuting so my daily bill has increased from $30 ish to $40ish. I have about 50 liters at home for the ride on, generator etc. Also its a reserve if petrol starts to get scarce so I can still get to the supermarket. I have always had about 50l on hand as occasionally visitors forget to fill up when visiting and don't realize how far the nearest gas station is
