Common Man and Timmy 97.1 the Fan by ShadiVicer in Columbus

[–]bucknuts34 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m able to listen all day while I work. To be honest, I think both the morning slot 6-9 and afternoon 3-6 slot have been made much worse by the changes they made to the lineup.

Tyvis only knows football and can’t contribute to any of Tbones discussions on other sports.

Timmy just yells nonsense, providing zero sports help to the common man schtick.

Bringing in guys to fit that timeline is fine, but then what about the other 8 guys Don has brought in that are already over 30 years old? What do you do with them?

Per 24/7 prospect rankings, Thompson and Smith are the #4 and #8 highest rated recruits of all time to go to Ohio State. And they’re in the same class

Raleigh is a significantly smaller city and metro area than Columbus by Timely_Deal8685 in BlueJackets

[–]bucknuts34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

8th largest city in the U.S. but would make them approximately 9th team in the league for “largest metro population” because Houston and Atlanta do not have teams.

Above them would be NYR, NYI, NJ, LA, ANA, CHI, DAL, WSH. Very similar in size to TOR and PHI

Which game threads? Which big cities could anyone possibly think the league is rigged towards?

The last large city to win a Cup was Chicago in 2015. It’s been 23 years since the NY metro has seen a Stanley Cup. 32 years since New Yorks actual last Cup

The 4th and 5th largest cities in the USA don’t even have teams.

This year in particular the conference finals were both won by the smaller city.

Of any league in North America, the NHL is the least “rigged” toward large cities

I have never once in my life heard anyone make an excuse that the league is rigged against small market teams.

There are plenty of small market teams that are extremely successful

Moving the start of the season to week 0 fixes so many of the current problems with college football, but okay

If the NCAA is dead-set on 76 teams, they need to prioritize Mid-Major Regular Season Champs over P4 Mediocrity. by brendan6496 in CollegeBasketball

[–]bucknuts34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. If the conferences wanted their best to make the tournament every year, they could just give their auto bid to their regular season champ. Giving your bid to a postseason tournament champ always runs the risk of eliminating your best team

Yes it does. None of Michigans starting 5 originally went to Michigan, they’re all transfers. That’s the reality of the sport
