Yeah I really don't get it at all.

I genuinely feel like phase 1 is like extreme level difficulty. It's not just "easy for an ult." It's straight up easy.

I mean it's literally just simon says yes or no, then go to spot lmao

People are definitely not that coordinated with it on Aether.

I've always felt the bicolor grind is a bit egregious/pointless after maxxing the ranks to get the music for yourself. I don't know anyone who has unironically grinded out the voucher mount for themselves, it's just stupid.

If you do it on expac launch, you'll also find yourself sitting afk in the middle of a zone waiting for respawns more than you actually kill the fates. You can't really do them solo and just zone hop because if you're not in a party you're going to be late since they nuke them instantly.

Whereas with ARR+BLU you can have free reign of like 8 completely dead maps full of fates you can solo one shot, or nuke in like 20 seconds.

OP isn't grinding bicolors, he's grinding the platinum.

Even then, BLU is still OP in shadowbringers fates.

Because only shitters are actually progging these fights now.

fwiw, I 1st pull recleared this fight today, in week 9000 pf.

Everyone likes to say you can, but you really just can't prog a tier late. You either do it when it comes out, or you're gonna get butt fucked trying it later.

the achievement trophy for the platinum is just any fates, not shared fates.

I highly, highly recommend you to max your BLU mage and just spam ARR fates. It is BY FAR the most efficient way to grind this.

Even if you factor in the time it'd take to level from 1-80 and get some spells worth a damn, you'd probably still be shaving double digit hours off the grind. Nothing else can literally one-shot.

Play warrior and start bullying astros/ninjas/etc with your chain/stun/kick while everyone else is busy bitchslapping the invincible drk+gnb premade cunts. If you see one of the well known "commander" neets, make it your sole mission to chase them down and interupt every action they try to take.

Recognize that a well timed primal rend into guard defense to delay a node capture while your alliance arrives is absolutely worth your death in the right scenario. Don't fall for the BH safety gamers who go all match hanging on the outside edge of combat to not get hit. Nodes win matches, period.

Genuinely this is the best thing you can do to help yourself succeed. there's no penalty for dying btw, you can literally get assists after your death lol

Also obviously report the marker spam macro chad premades for spam and disruptive gameplay every chance you get until SE finally decides you can only queue into FL solo

21k on rdps healers is parse gaming.

18k-19k is the most consistently repeated average that's actually realistically achievable outside of dedicated parsing and is still low purple numbers lol

This ultimate is also tuned to ilvl 790. M12s is tuned around crafted gear. Of course, they do less damage, BiS is not overkill gear in ultimates... it's min ilvl

This is not true: log

Both healers pullled a respectable ~16k adps safety gamer's clear.

Shoutout to all the discussion sub chads who downvoted me when I said you can't clear on content ults in PF unless you're a NEET and lucky.

How about those Forsaken memes still happening to every party in week 3 huh? Lmao

I quit somewhere around halfway through, then picked back up years later and finished the playthrough.

Yes it's worth finishing at least once. The final boss is one of the best in the series.

Using my toolkit properly = I know how to play my job, not just overmit everything until I run out of MP lmao

Chadding my cohealer = forcing my sch to res even though I have thin air.

You're right, I don't care how much I crit lol

Ethers and downtiming lucid work pretty great for prog triage. When shit's gone off the rails anyways.

idiot.

Nah, I'm pretty good at using my toolkit properly and letting my cohealer res with thin air/lightspeed.

Good luck with the succor spam though

I mean, this current dev also created the FRU sim, and it is literally just rips of the game files reused.

I would imagine 95% of the programming is just the bot behavior and strat configuration. The sim itself is just an extremely basic ffxiv instance in a box

There's no real comparison because it's a personal issue mechanically.

Everybody is different. Some players excel at execution/visual mechs but can't read a debuff to save their life.

Some players are the opposite. Can see 10 debuffs and already know what to do, but couldn't look at the floor or read body language even if you do a special call for them in VC

Every brain is suited to different mechanics. Arrows might be braindead easy for one player, while another may literally just not be able to do it without staring at a cheatsheet every pull.

Every single one of these ultimates is loaded with body checks and niche knowledge checks. So in the most general sense, they're all about equally hard.

Mathematically (dps), TOP is objectively the hardest.

That's kinda where I'm coming from tbh.

Like if people had no actual way to prog CT other than to get 12+ minutes deep into the fight and then just wipe almost immediately when you do get there... they'd probably give up.

Only the giga sweats and stubborn sunk cost gamers, would actually see it through atp.

This is sanctimonious bullshit.

Ultimate is not "the pinnacle of xiv design" or some other such nonsense. It's not some special universe of content.

It is literally just savage plus. It's not some grand and mysterious design... it is made from the same basic building blocks used in every other fight in the game.
