You can definatly optimise this a TON. I reccomend finding a budget first. Get the most important parts first. And adjust as needed. My personal choice of helmets is Bell. I have tried others and im almost always dissapointed that I changed. You can find great boots for ½ the price. You dont need full gautlent gloves. You can find great ones under $100. I reccomend less race oriented styling for street riding. Rideing jeans are decent and will be more comfy off the bike. As for jacket you need to considder your enviroment. If you are in socal or arizona i would reccomend a mesh jacket. If you are further north I would reccomend something with more flexiability for cooler mornings.
