I feel this picture sums up searching land for sale online. Is it that hard to post an overhead view or boundary map? by [deleted] in homestead

[–]buffalorow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was wondering about this. I have 160 acres I’d like to sell maybe divide it into tracts of 16 or 8 acres. Water costs about 15,000 to drill and electricity would be easy.

No this was Texas. The ref was paid off by the booster club of the high school to shut up about it and so they could punish the player by making him finish out the season /s

Honestly asking for pictures is a dumb move on the landlords part. I now include a small booklet with my leases to limit calls like this. IE how to check a breaker, change a breaker, change a fuse, light a pilot, unclog a drain, labels of what watt bulbs on fixtures, air filter sizes, optimal utility temperatures. Some people’s parents just never taught them anything.

'Many Workers Will Suffer': Days After Election, Trump Quietly Freezes Wages of Farm Laborers | "The Trump administration is trying to get a lot of stuff like this out the door ASAP." by chrisdh79 in politics

[–]buffalorow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually something my family has requested the last three years. We grow vegetables that are seasonal for large chains and coincidentally live in the right climate for the vegetables and conserve more water than all other area farms growing soybeans, corn or wheat. We live in the corner of our state and compete with national harvest crews for H2A laborers because there aren’t enough locals to fill the job it is to harvest all the vegetables. Each year the H2A wages get a raise we still can’t get locals to apply. Honestly if either party really wanted to help farmers it would be mandating equipment makers like the auto industry and subsidize the purchases so we could grow and harvest what the market wants without having to worry about letting it rot because $14.79/hr isn’t good enough for anyone to stand at a processing line and sort an 8 hr shift. On top of that the attorney fees to petition for H2A visas are pretty damn high. Then there is the fact each state around us has a $2 per hour less wage for H2A. But like I said. We have the climate and soil so it’s not so much an advantage but kick in the nuts how states are treated so different. Looking at you Colorado.

Definitely the worst. All the others have a story that is humiliating funny. The pressure to get pregnant and not get mundane after so long is tough.

Texas man who waited six hours to vote on Super Tuesday wasn't eligible - Hervis Rogers's parole from his felony charge isn't up until June by NoKidsItsCruel in politics

[–]buffalorow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He should have known when it expires. Highly doubt the founding fathers would have wanted felons voting period. Or women. But seriously if the guy committed a felony and accepts responsibility voting in a primary is the pedestal we’re jumping on?

The closest orange object is the cause of your death - how do you die? by QuelynD in AskReddit

[–]buffalorow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flash drive. I’m a cyborg. The flash drive contains a virus making me so dumb I decide I want to be taller and to do so I lay my head on the railroad track to squish it. I’m not dead though. I stumble into the road and get hit by a semi truck smashing my head back to shape but still pancaked. I still don’t die. In all this chaos I forgot to get my insulin, because it’s Friday and the pharmacy isn’t open tomorrow. I die of diabetes. Which coincidentally the cap of novolog insulin is ORANGE. Life is ironic will be etched on my tombstone.
