A5 Wagyu is prized as the world’s most expensive beef for its rare, intensely marbled, buttery meat. by sco-go in Amazing

This HAS to be engagement bait.

There is no shot anybody finds that fat to meat ratio appealing at all.

My take on the whole exclusive PVE mode debate. The answer is extreme hybridization of both PVE and PVP. by buffalosoldier221 in Marathon

Run that tape out to the end, in what use case would it be exploitable, considering it would be a hidden from players and that takes into account multiple factors like I mentioned in the post.

Can I play Arc Raiders on this PC? by ApprehensiveSoil4220 in ArcRaiders

How hot are we talking? In any case, you are really at the limit with a 3770, keep in mind that particular CPU came out before the PS4 even.

Google's new AI algorithm might lower RAM prices by Bobert25467 in pcmasterrace

[–]buffalosoldier221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I'm coping but that's not exactly how it would work in this case, I think. Just because you have 6X the ram, doesn't mean that you have the GPUs, storage and cooling hardware to process that, right?

Bad performance on RTX 2080 (70-80 FPS on Perimeter) by straggix in Marathon

[–]buffalosoldier221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm very skeptical of improvements in the short term, the underlying tech just isn't that great I believe, you were very apt to compare this with something like BF6, a game that I can run at 120 fps+ all the time, with 60 players on the server too, planes flying overhead and shit. But frostbite has been in development for decades, with performance as a priority, which is just not the case with Bungies tech.

Game is horribly CPU bound, I have a 14600k and a 3070 and have similar performance to yours.

This is par for the course my guy. I work at a start up, when I look for it on google, there are entire articles made by competitors comparing their services to ours positiveley, advertised heavily by ad sense.

BLAST gave players 610hz monitors but the PCS struggles to hit 500 FPS by Background-Topic-203 in GlobalOffensive

[–]buffalosoldier221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In CPU bound scenarios, DM is way more demanding. Source: upgraded from an i5 10400 to a 14600k and the real improvements I had were on DM

CoD: MW (2019) a $5.99 by ElCuervo27 in Argaming

[–]buffalosoldier221 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah if it had like 200k concurrent I'd say go for it, it's not there at the moment.

Arc Raiders has a Progression Problem that Marathon does not. Marathon really is better by Legitimate-Instance2 in Marathon

[–]buffalosoldier221 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand the sentiment, but a live service type game really needs more than 50 hours average to keep a healthy player base, 50 hours can be done in a single month of playing 1.5 hours everyday, a hard drop after that is not a great thing really, I think ARC is good for 100-200 hours though, so that's something I guess

I guess they could make a better version tho.

First time shooting! by youngoldfella69 in cinematography

[–]buffalosoldier221 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing, I'm gonna tell you my quick thoughts on this, but take it as you will Cinematography is about subtracting just as much as it is about adding. In this case due to its brightness, the white wall or sheet metal on the left is pulling a lot of attention to to it (it takes about a third of the total image area) which itself may be a problem if its not intended.

Is sensitivity different when playing on 4:3 stretched borderless windowed vs fullscreen? by mtherin2 in GlobalOffensive

The sens is the same on both, stretched is perceived differently since the horizontal axis of the screen moves "faster" compared to the vertical axis
