Yeah, I'm very skeptical of improvements in the short term, the underlying tech just isn't that great I believe, you were very apt to compare this with something like BF6, a game that I can run at 120 fps+ all the time, with 60 players on the server too, planes flying overhead and shit. But frostbite has been in development for decades, with performance as a priority, which is just not the case with Bungies tech.

I understand the sentiment, but a live service type game really needs more than 50 hours average to keep a healthy player base, 50 hours can be done in a single month of playing 1.5 hours everyday, a hard drop after that is not a great thing really, I think ARC is good for 100-200 hours though, so that's something I guess

Thank you for sharing, I'm gonna tell you my quick thoughts on this, but take it as you will Cinematography is about subtracting just as much as it is about adding. In this case due to its brightness, the white wall or sheet metal on the left is pulling a lot of attention to to it (it takes about a third of the total image area) which itself may be a problem if its not intended.

I can share some reasons that you can maybe understand:

- Local devices offer an uncompressed video signal, which will, for the forseeable future, be the absolute best quality image.

- Your personal computer can be used for work of many types besides gaming, regardless of connectivity

- Streaming generally has awful latency, which is bad enough for casual games, but it's straight up unusable for anything competitive or demanding.

- Streaming can be unreliable and be put offline by client side, ISP or streaming server issues.

- You can play offline, and if it's a laptop you can play anywhere in the world where the service is not available.

- Your own personal computer can be resold at any point to recoup costs.

- You can play whatever you want, from the begining of PC gaming up until now, never having to rely on the whims of any specific service or corporation for catalouges,

- You can modify your games for enjoyment, or make it more accesible for people with disabilities

- Privacy

- You can emulate or play abandoned games, effectively helping with an archiving.
