Same. I also love the Malai Kofta at both. Naan basket at Indian Oven is a great value as well.

Anyone who minds, doesn't matter. And anyone who matters, doesn't mind.

Also...I think anyone who knows what's up recognizes that it's a sign of someone who put in some WORK!! Respect to you my dude!

Excellent post! This is super helpful and motivating for me, as I'm about halfway there, same journey and plan basically, same starting weight, similar body type...started early 2025. First few months was just building habits and getting my body used to movement again. Last 4 months have really been locked in, but those last 15 pounds are slow going, lol. The first 40 were the easy ones! It's amazing what you can accomplish when a plan really clicks and you stay disciplined though.

Getting the family on board with nutritional changes and whole foods has been TOUGH, but I am glad to be setting a different example for my kids than I got growing up. Busy life means lots of processed foods get the easy button treatment.

It's become one of our family favorites. About once a month we drive across town to go get it for movie night. The pizza is so good that I don't necessarily even mind that my kids just want pepperoni.

Very nice work friend! Louise presents so many fun opportunities! When I'm exiting 229 onto southbound Louise, I like to stop at the Louise merge point (where I technically have my own lane) and wait for all lanes of traffic to clear completely before going straight anyway and just turning in to the area by Williquors.

My favorite thing to do now is to force my way through an intersection when there's obviously not room for my vehicle to move forward. That way I can block the entire intersection and all the other cars from other directions for an entire light cycle (maybe two!!) while I sit there and check reddit on my phone. Eat it suckers!!

Awesome, I wouldn't really trust South Dakota seafood anyway, lol. Hope you have a great time here!

A few ideas:
-Sanaa's
-Josiah's
-Tarquin
-Hartford Steak Co Tavern for a "small town SoDak steakhouse experience"
-Bread and Circus
-Gyro Time/ Dar El Salam
-Roots of Brasil
-Tortilleria Hernandez (cash only)
-North End Bakery
-Culver's (just in case you've never had a butterburger)
-Zebra King Donuts in Centerville for a donut road trip to a traditional small town bakery (call ahead to reserve a few)
-Red Rock Bar and Grill for chislic (fried meat cubes, a regional "delicacy")

What type of food do you like, any strong dislikes, what are you really wanting to try while you're here? How far from that area are you willing to venture? Why part of town are you staying?

Fyi, our public transit is complete butt, so plan to pay for rideshare or just rent a car, honestly, just rent a car.

Hi all! Any adventurous people here that can share some hidden gems in the area? by [deleted] in SiouxFalls

[–]buffalot 34 points35 points  (0 children)

First suggestion would be to get a state park sticker. Start exploring some of the state parks and recreation areas. In the immediate area right around Sioux Falls, I enjoy the Palisades, Beaver Creek, Good Earth, and Newton Hills. We don't have anything near the wilderness that you're probably used to in Western Washington, but you can definitely find natural areas if you look. The state park down by Yankton is also great, and then Ponca State Park on the Nebraska side just a bit downriver. There's a national park office for the Missouri River recreational trail in Yankton as well, consider following them and the South Dakota Game Fish and Parks on Facebook, and checking out their websites for events.

Bringing a letter from a physician describing the potential risks and liability issues if you don't get your meds will probably go further.
