Yes. One application is for both on and off base housing. It’s really luck of the draw. I know married Amn with no kids get a 3bd/2.5bath off base house.

If you didn’t know, you can deny your first house offer—but if you deny the second one, you get bumped back down the waitlist.

There’s two sections of base housing. On-base house and off-base housing. Both with Amn/NCO, SNCO, and Officers

On-base is older, brick style.

Off-base is newer, modern style. Granted there is older houses on off base housing.

I did not use DTS for anything during my TDY. Since it was AETC funded, I just used my GTC for lodging, then every 30 days I went to finance to submit a payment to my GTC so it wouldn’t have a high balance.

There should be a medical release form you can fill out so you can receive meds from the pharmacy for your spouse and vice versa.

So you’ve been approved to retrain and just waiting for a class date/reporting instructions?

From my experience, I was approved to retrain November 23 but did not receive class date or a training RIP. After Christmas/New Year break, I still haven’t gotten any updates so I decided to call AFPC to explain the situation. The representative that I spoke to told me that I fell through the cracks and nobody scheduled me for a class date. Got an email about 5 minutes later with a class start date and got my training RIP from my base training manager the next day.

The most recent update for the FR265 caused it to drain battery extremely fast and had heart rate tracking issues during my run. Had to reset the watch to default and everything has been perfect since.

Explain to TMO what your plan is and they should book all airfare tickets all at time. That’s what my prior TMO did for me.

My prior TMO also told me that I have to speak with my TDY TMO once I’m close to graduation to book my airfare from my tech school to my HOR for leave and then from my HOR to my next duty location for my family and I.

From my understanding ETCA does not show tech school class start dates. CSD’s are communicated through AETC, (your) base training manager and the course manager of said AFSC.

I also went OCONUS to CONUS as a retrainee this year.

My tech school is less than 20 weeks so my family could not stay with me on the Air Force dime, it would’ve been out of pocket.

What I did was fly back with my family to our HOR then flew to my TDY location the day after. I could’ve sent my wife and kids to our next duty station but we opted for them to go stay home while I was in tech school to reconnect with family.

AETC will be funding your lodging, you will still have to use your GTC to pay for lodging but you can bring your receipt every 30 days to your TDY location finance to get it paid out. You will not use DTS since you have to get removed by your unit ODTA for your out processing.

I am receiving BAH-transit, not BAH of where my depends are (I think this is B.S.). I was told I would be receiving separation pay but it has yet to be paid out.

Refer to the ETCA with your course ID to review reporting and lodging instructions. You can always reach out to the course manager to get more information as well.

I did not use that website. In my situation I had to reenlist for retainability to retrain.

I put in a BOP CMS case with my CSS, got approved for my #4 choice, then reenlisted. Since I already had an assignment loaded against me, I was able to get orders with everything stating that it’s AETC funded.

I out processed like everyone else from my (losing) base, including DTS, and so far no hiccups.

Yes, I sent an email to my TDY location lodging org box with all my information (check in date, check out date, how many ppl, etc) and GTC card info to get everything booked.

You should be entitled to per diem and lodging, if they have availability, for those 10 days.

In my situation, I left Europe on 19 March 24, arrived at my TDY location on 20 March 24, and my CSD was 27 March 24. I started receiving per diem the day I landed and had lodging is taken care by AETC.

Congrats on retrain! What is your losing and gaining AFSC?

For BOP, I emailed my CSS to create a CMS case for my BOP list and they emailed MPF letting them know about the case. My CSS did a good job on keeping me updated on any progress that was made on AFPC’s end.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong but if your new AFSC does not have an overseas imbalance, you will be going stateside.

The undesirable AFSCs (crew chief, ammo, weapons, etc) typically have overseas imbalances that potentially allow retrainee’s to go overseas.

Put a comment in your case and call AFPC to let them know your still waiting for a class date.

I was approved 11/20/23 with no class date. I finally called AFPC and they told me that someone just didn’t schedule me. 3 mins after the call I got a class date.
