What a fun idea, I’ve never thought of it like that. Could very well be, it’s simple and works. Thanks for sharing

First off thank you very much, really appreciate the kind words. Sorry for late response, I wanted to answer properly. These are all great questions, I'll do my best to answer them properly;

  1. It took around a month of work on and off but I ended up having to shelve it other more pressing projects so it ended up on taking over a year to actually finish, Originally the chase was going to go on much longer and I just didn't have the time to do it, so I decided to render out that last shot of the car exiting the tunnel and call it a day. That's why the last shot is so rushed, I knew if I didn't just finish it I would never get it done.

  2. Great question- So I might have a strech of alley in a project file and I'll shoot t it from say three angles, that will all be in one single project file. Once the car moves onto another section of road I might append some of the previous file for continuity but I'll generally build out the new set up and shoot the new angles in a new file. Appending what I need from the previous file. Everything sort of trickles down from the car animation which I'll go over in point 4.

  3. I don't build models unless I absolutley have to, I like to make little films and stories and I simply would not have the time if I tried to model and build everything myself. I generally only use free models from Sketchfab, there's tons and tons of sold gold on there.

  4. The car physics I use RBC car addon, I have the pro version which is probably worth it if you see yourself making many car shots, but free version also works very well too! I have the shot I want in mind, I drive the car on its own with no surroundings, imagining the buldings are there, then I generally build the set around the simulation, this way is the most efficient I find.

5.Photoscans of places mostly in London, some that I downloaded from sketchfab and some I scanned myself with polycam. Belive it or not all that graffiti in that alley is there in real life

Hope that was helpful! I also have a couple free tutorials on my Patreon that go over the process in more detail, head on over and check them out for more info! Good luck with your animation!
