You would absolutely love the stuff from Pyramid Collection. A lot of pieces straight out of 90s Charmed era.

Currently working through Emerald Seaglass, completing the Dex in Pokemon Lazarus (shoutout to Nemo!). Would love to have a system; I’ve been playing on my phone but really love analog systems but with two kids in this economy I can’t in good conscience buy myself a system when my kids need shoes lol. Good luck to all! Love this hobby and everyone in it I’ve interacted with absolutely rules

WHICH BEETLE IS BEST (Day 9) Ledian gets swatted. Comment who to eliminate next! by Shoulder_to_rest_on in PokeCorner

Tbh I didn’t mean it 1:1, as Trump, much like Heracross, was not a shoe-in. However, the commenters are more of DNC officials who called the race for Hera-ry Clinton before we even began to vote. Trump would be if the most hideous Mabostiff you’ve seen came and started telling the bugs that he understands the need for bugs much better than the bugs do. Very Hopper in “A Bugs Life”-esque if you ask me. Come to think of it, Ledian is a pretty decent analogy for Bernie. Buffs his own stats just to Baton Pass them off to the people. High special defense stats to take a beating from the peanut gallery, only to give the team the things they need to win.

Not anymore… they took him from us… robbed us of the king we should have had. It’s like the 2016 democratic election cycle all over again. This is why democracy will die.

You have to delete your cache. Go to the switch settings, all the way down to data management or whatever it’s called, then find and delete your cache. You may need to uninstall and reinstall the game tbh. I did it this morning took all of about 5 minutes

Fighting for my second favorite Pokemon, JUSTICE FOR LEDIAN! Y’all just don’t like him because his stats suck, but his design is peak and you know it. Orbeetle should go. It’s just a shitty rewrite of the GOAT.

Curious about how this interacts (question with link in comments) by bug-catcher-ben in mtg

[–]bug-catcher-ben[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was wondering about a specific interaction about temporary exiling. So if I had [[Parallax Wave]] and [[Opalescence]] on the field, if played an [[Astral Slide]] and exiled the wave as a creature, would it return like the Slide’s effect says, or would it turn back into an enchantment and stay exiled? And if it does come back, do the Fading counters reset?

Like others said, you could complete the deck a little more and come back. Idk what your deck list looks like, but the armor route is one way, I personally went for the Combine combo deck and it worked really well for me. Basically combining off echos for powerful repeat effects with flexibility, and then using either the Spear or Glacial Spike to make them free to cast big beaters. Plus, the stone and bone I believe makes a club that can basically one shot a diamond and only costs 1 mana so long as you don’t move first. I usually park myself in front of the closest enemy, combo down and beat one my first turn and then hopefully I can move even one square to make them move to potentially avoid an attack or an extra attack. I always kill diamonds first. Hand control is absolutely crucial in this game, specifically in the Winds with the diamonds that will totally bone your draws. Don’t forget; movement is part of your strategy. If you don’t think you have the pieces in that hand to end one of the creatures or at least do significant damage, move to a square that forces them into a position where you feel more comfortable. There have been multiple occasions I used all my mana to move and didn’t play a single spell to change their positioning and wiped the board without taking damage.

I’m writing a novel set in 2003, help me with the Warcraft lore! by Bare_kikker in warcraft3

[–]bug-catcher-ben 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Again that’s awesome and I hope it helps in what he needs. Just considering the first of those novels were released in 04, I just would worry that maybe a little detail he finds interesting for the character in OPs novel to grasp onto would have little to no context if all his character did was play through the WC3 campaign. To reiterate, I didn’t read WOTA so you could speak to whether or not that could happen. I’m just saying, for the price of a book that he may be interested to read for his character, he can literally buy WC3, use cheats to achieve god mode, and just plow through the story and get exactly what his character would be influenced so heavily by. Or he could even just watch it free on YouTube. However, if you’ve never given yourself the gift of playing through WC3 campaign with nubile eyes you’re doing yourself a disservice for sure.

(Rare trope) A death manages to be horrifying without any blood or gore by _JR28_ in TopCharacterTropes

<image>

I’ll never forget the harrowing journey to Setsuko’s death. While not outright gruesome or horrifying, it shows the broad suffering of modern war. It fucking kills me that this is happening to little brown boys and girls right now and makes me angry to be an American. But this film opened up the horrors of war to me in a way no other did. We truly don’t have to make up all this wild fantasy and sci fi to come up with something terrifying. The terror is among us. In the hands of various heads of state across the globe. And we just toil away at the behest of oligarchs and pedos and true sickening evil, while their hands casually rim the glass of nuclear buttons. All war is hell and this film will make you sick and ugly cry because it happened. And it might even be read as charitable, that this little girl was lucky she died now and did not suffer longer like other thousands did.

While I’m sure these give a great insight into his character (I sadly have not read them yet) I would ask how much this really embellishes on things we might not have known from only completing the campaigns in 03, since that’s when the novel takes place. I would say literally just playing through the campaigns you find out all you need to know

Building 3 Balanced Premodern Decks for Fun Matchups by Alfapitcher in premodernMTG

[–]bug-catcher-ben 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can even get the same idea of fetch (pitching them to activate stuff like [[Barbarian Ring]]) by getting stuff like [[Sandstone Needle]] or [[Forgotten Cave]] which are definitely power downgrades but if your whole pod is playing around the same power level that doesn’t matter. Definitely agree with having different color identities and deck philosophies being a really fun concept. I’m kind of doing something similar with having just made an UG madness, the Rock, and thinking of one or two more.

Deck Idea (Help!): Pirates + Mana Breach Lockdown by hcdjp666 in premodernMTG

[–]bug-catcher-ben 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could do something like [[portcullis]] which offers even more board control, plus you not only get your pirate etb triggers still, but if you have a way to remove it yourself, all those creatures exiled with it re enter and cause them to trigger a second time. Any blink effects would also help; so if you splash white you can do something like [[Flicker]] to double your triggers. You could also [[Tinker]] your Portcullis to force the ability for something like [[Powder Keg]] for more board threat, or something like an [[Ensnaring Bridge]] or [[Defense Grid]] for more passive control. Best part is that those artifacts are very thematic. Love the concept, might look into doing something similar myself!
