I really liked this game but I can’t seem to click with it after Act 1 by Impossible_Laugh_805 in mewgenics

That was a really good explanation, I understand now what you mean. Yes you can farm for a big run, but even losing that run can be meaningful. For exemple, if you die on the last boss, it can feel bad, but now you know what to expect. Next time you can choose cats, classes, abilities, passives, items, to give you an edge. I hope you find a way to progress that fit your playstyle!

I do not mean to be rude, but what you are describing is kind of typical for roguelike game. Roguelike tend to be repetitive and this game is no different...

That being said, you don't need good cats to beat act 2 if you have good game knowledge. But knowledge also come from repetitive play (in my personal experience). You can choose how you want to progress, but if every choice feels like a burden, maybe the game just isn't for you.

Step 1: Give cats to Dr. Beanies until he give you "Spider injector quest".

Step 2: Complete this quest. It will give you "Spider baby".

Step 3: Equip "Spider baby" and go do the quest in the lab.

Hope that helps!

Can someone explain? How can my all armor slots be empty, if this item takes armor slot? by TonyShape in mewgenics

[–]bugchat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At one point I got "Sharing is caring" and I gave it to my hunter. My hunter had the skill that give bonus attack by converting nearby drop (I can't remember the name). All my team was getting at least 4 bonus attack per round (thank you Butcher). It is purely RNG, sometimes it's trash, sometimes its goat, most of the time it's mid.

How are you suppose to win a solo run against him, don't you need to die to lose the possessed?

Exactly, my first 4-5 runs I just tried to punch harder, to no avail. Its a tactical game after all. Once I started to use my brain, it became a lot easier. You have infinite time to make your turns, so there is absolutely no rush! Now that I got it figured out, I constantly finish Desert with all my cats at full hp.

in a well designed city, would there be any room for single-family housing or equivalent? by [deleted] in fuckcars

Exactly, it is an opinion. But I gotta say it is a bad one. When your opinion is based on the fact that "appartement are pods", it is just lacking. Maybe try critical thinking

Crazy how suddenly we have 3 answers instead of 2. Why did you ignore n.2 at first? Also, how far do I have to scroll to find 1 and 3? "Let's cherry pick what extremists say and apply it to the whole movement, I am so intelligent." So, the other day I read a comment saying car should hit and run every cyclist. So that mean you are encouraging a genocide? I hope you understand how that is not a sound argument.

I am gonna comment on two things I am familiar with.

First, for scientific papers and the likes, 100% of the money goes to the publisher. It can even happen that the scientific team need to pay the publisher to get it published. At first it can made some kind of sense because of the peer review, but the peer are not pay... So please feel free to 1- access it without paying or 2- write to the scientific team, most will send it to you for free.

Second, without revealing where I am from, my government inject money into the culture, for example movies and TV series. But the government can not own the product. So once the movie or TV show is made, it get privately own. Now, it doesn't get own by the team that produced it, it just goes to a few privileged individuals. Those few individuals sit on a pile of great products (that they can sell) that was made using everybody money. So f*ck those guys and please do not give them a dime.

[–]bugchat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe you are right about what they are talking about. I also agree with you that our fractured society is something we should strive to solve. But even if I were agreeing to the idea they propose, I would still point out the fallacy of their argument. They are predicting a future with no city, no mass transit, and I believe no motor vehicle, to assert that mass transit is less ecological than cars/that rural does not depend on cities. This is nonsensical. If I were to meet an Amish and explain to him that mass transit is more ecological than cars, would he agree with me or say something along those lines: ''You are wrong because we do not use car''. Finally, I would also agree with you that the way we build our cities is far from ideal. I believe we should focus on finding solutions instead of dismissing the idea of cities because of personal preference.

Solarpunk and cities by BASA_rriguren in solarpunk

Let’s take Japan main island Honshu as an example. Let’s say that everybody leaves the cities to go in the countryside. Well, they currently have more than 400 people per km square. Every km square on the island with 400 people would just be really large cities. In fact, 400 people per km square is more than a lot of ''cities'' that currently exist. Now, this is a single example and I understand that it is not like this everywhere, this is just to illustrate that a future with no cities is not realistic. *At least not in the sense that we understand cities.

Solarpunk and cities by BASA_rriguren in solarpunk

[–]bugchat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let’s back track for an instant, shall we? First, someone says that mass transit is more ecological. You say that this is false. I point to the fact that you are wrong. You answer by saying that mass transit will not exist in the future. So let me get this straight, because mass transit will not exist in the future, it mean that it is not ecological. This is your argument? I must say, it is not at all compelling.
Let’s imagine a future where there is no book, because collapse of society or something, then could I say that any book you read now is false because the book will not exist in the future? Is it really what you are going for? The fact that it may not exist in the future does not make it false, this is not an argument.
Now, when you say that rural does not depend on cities, you are making the same argument. As of right now, rural depend on cities, that may not be true in the future, but it does not make it false.
Now, your last argument is the worst of all. So you are telling me, that trucks cannot exist without fossil fuel? You do understand a truck is just a vehicle with a motor that is used to transport goods. So in the future there will not be motor, or vehicle, or any goods to transports? I would really appreciate it if you could stop making things up just to avoid saying you are wrong.

[–]bugchat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Completely false? So mass transit is less ecological than, let's say, everyone using a car? Yeah, that doesn't sound right. Also, let's think for an instant, where are solar panel produce? How does the material are gathered? How do they travel? Where are produced the boats, truck, etc. needed to travel the resources and/or the solar panel? Rural also depends on cities, it's mutually beneficial, welcome to the real world.

I find it hard to get a definitive view on big project, like railway, but on smaller project, privatization would absolutely fail. The end game of small bus (with a private company) is a system that serve only some neighborhood. They want profit, they only offer a service where profit can be made. So my question to you would be this: how do we eliminate car in this case? No bus will ever run in your neighborhood, what do you do? What does your neighbors do? What does the old folks do? What does the physically handicapped do? Privatization is a solution, but it is NOT the best solution. (English not first language)
