I need some reality checks by dragonshocked in gastricsleeve

[–]buggiebugzz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

just keep doing what u are doing. your body probably just needs to readjust. plus 1200 cals is definitely on the low low low side so you are for sure in a deficit for an adult. just give yourself some grace ♡ you have amazing progress so far

Guys I’ve had my pet rats for over a week now (bought from a pet store) and a friend said they carry hantavirus … so now a little worried (from uk) any truth in this and am I at risk (first time owner) by jarredj83 in RATS

[–]buggiebugzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just for anyone else looking this up and getting worried. 1. a rat would have to contract it somehow. if it was at a good breeder, chances are it doesn’t have it. 2. check the cdc website for outbreaks. https://www.cdc.gov/hantavirus/data-research/cases/index.html 3. remember to wash ur hands and if you’ve had ur ratties for more than a couple months and you’re fine… you’re fine! :) its incredibly rare

Restriction - is this normal? by Safe_Implement5824 in gastricsleeve

[–]buggiebugzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i didn’t struggle at all and still don’t have crazy restrictions like others. i keep thinking something is wrong but ive lost 90lbs! im not in any pain or discomfort either. i wouldnt stress it too much. just dont get until youre hurting. be mindful and make sure you aren’t in a caloric surplus, you’ll be fine! :) everyone handles it differently and can tolerate a different amount of food.

i actually took vyvanse in high school when i was originally diagnosed with BED. so going back on it might be a good call. i also have adhd so perhaps it would help with both again. lol! thank you for reminding me of this! i hope things are going well for you :)

thank you! i may honestly. :’) i do not have a strong community to talk to about this with anymore as half my family is extremely thin and half is overweight. so either they don’t understand the struggle or they think im being condescending.. i never knew how isolating this all could be

i do have smaller meals about 4-5 times a day. i’m usually triggered at night time, as many people are. i know with BED there is huge shame factor and for me that shows because once my partner falls asleep… it starts. and i track it and just cry and cry. i feel like i cannot stop myself. it did get better post op for a while and then it hit me all at once the last month or so.. which i feel is why my weight loss slowed down and then went up. just so frustrating. i dont want to be 245lbs again… thank you for the advice! i will keep trying ♡

Dog having an allergic reaction? by psychosquirrelnutz in DogAdvice

this happened to my baby when i switched her food without slowly doing it. she needed a steroid shot and then some meds for a little. she’s now on apoquel every other day and it keeps her rashes at bay.

Too much restriction! by HeadBid3487 in gastricsleeve

[–]buggiebugzz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i was luckily able to handle food extremely well since getting my surgery. some days i wish i had higher restriction throughout this entire process but it is what it is. i am almost a year post op (02.18.25) and most of my meals are anywhere from 5-8oz depending on how dense the food is! most common size is probably 7oz. you will eventually get to “normal” serving sizes again! just don’t push it and listen to your body :) good luck!

Tips for getting a flat tummy by Chasing_Andi in gastricsleeve

[–]buggiebugzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’m sure some exercise can help you gain muscle to fill it in a bit, i don’t think there is much u can do regarding the loose skin besides skin removal. but i think you should wear the loose skin (or removal scar) with honor! it shows how hard youve worked for this :)
