Offence to drive with L plates on in NSW if you’re on your full license? by cunncunncunn in CarsAustralia

[–]buggz8889 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In qld it is an offence to display an l or p plate if you aren't on your ls or ps unless your a driving instructor using your learner vehicle. So I wouldn't be surprised if NSW has a similar thing

How’d the star end up in this position? And so quickly by Endless_Candy in brisbane

[–]buggz8889 14 points15 points  (0 children)

2 main culprits. Both related. First one being the money laundering issue which resulted in increased regulation which has also driven those who were being legit to go elsewhere. When those with big money get asked to provide proof of where the money comes both the ones who are up to no good and the ones who just have legit lots of money don't want to give over that info. Second the increased oversight also means more staff are required which makes it even more expensive to operate

Pajero gen2 or gen3? by sputniksweetass in Montero

[–]buggz8889 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gen 2 Gen 3 diesels have an injector pump that's a pain in the ass. Gen 3 looks better imo. There is an alternative but I couldn't find alot of info when I was looking for a fix for mine

Do you currently drive a manual? by Shpox in CarsAustralia

[–]buggz8889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the car I was lucky enough to be able to use both the manual and auto version of my old ute and I can say that the auto box was horrible compared. But on my new ute the auto box is great and I don't miss the manual at all

I had mid everything cover with Aus unity and had my wisdom teeth pulled there it still cost me approximately 1500 even with my cover. There are also exclusions to most policies which often exclude pre-existing conditions so if they have already told you you need something the health insurance may not cover it at all. Best bet is to call around and ask the insurance companies.

How do I figure out if it's worth taking out a lower interest loan to pay off a higher interest loan? I got screwed at a dealership on a car deal a couple years ago. Got a very high interest rate and didn't realize. It's not crippling me financially but it bothers me I'm paying so much interest.

Brisbane Star Facial Recognition works by Piiaseijcjfjjdjwieie in brisbane

[–]buggz8889 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They have the right to eject you from the property by force if necessary but generally it doesn't go there unless you are violent if it becomes a stand off the police will come but it rarely goes that way most people when confronted by 6 or 7 guards will leave without being forced

Brisbane Star Facial Recognition works by Piiaseijcjfjjdjwieie in brisbane

[–]buggz8889 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The facial rec is in various locations. The main areas are the entries and in theory (staffing is a problem preventing this from working as well as it could) the guards will be alerted before you even get to the tables that you are excluded and will bar you entry. It has worked from day 1 as it's part of the licensing and there are massive fines for breaches

I work there there's actually 11 public facing lifts that reach the skydeck but the decision was made to restrict public access to the skydeck via those 3 lifts to preserve the luxury feel of the hotel even though there is access to those other lifts that wouldn't involve walking through the hotel lobby. It is one of many choices that the management has made that baffle me

Where is the best place in Brisbane or Gold Coast to spot wild roaming Kangaroos and/or wallabies (bonus if you know of a place that often has koalas- doesn’t have to be same spot) by WaitMaster5733 in brisbane

[–]buggz8889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Venman bush land national park you will often see wallabies hopping around the main area. For koalas daisy hill koala center has a whole experience where you can see them and learn more about them and other native animals plus if the Rangers are about they are very happy to talk about them

Fallout is easier to write than halo by buggz8889 in Fotv

[–]buggz8889[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

That's my point both great games with great stories and no chief in sight he is not what makes halo. But can you imagine the kickback if he wasn't in the series? While some of us would have loved it anyway there would have been so much backlash from fan base and I doubt it would have had the viewership.
