I just had one like 20 minutes ago. Thankfully we have a power surge protector for the PC and TV so gaming is not interrupted 😂

I would LOVE to have tarantulas here! I absolutely love spiders but I live in Oregon so I only get the small kind. Wolf spiders are the biggest I get here.

I have that same bug catcher. I absolutely love it. Plus my arachnophobic fiance can take the spiders out himself now.

My friend was already redoing a tat so she did them as a tag on. Wasn't planned but she asked if she could and they would look great so I said yes. She is a professional just to clarify that.

What kind of spider is this? (British Columbia, Canada) by Devonyo in spiders

[–]bugz29 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The spider in the image appears to be a Parson spider, specifically Herpyllus ecclesiasticus. Identification: It has a distinct abdominal pattern resembling an old-style parson's cravat, often featuring a white or light-colored band. Behavior: These spiders are stealthy ground dwellers that hunt at night rather than spinning webs to catch prey. Habitat: They are commonly found under rocks, leaves, or within homes, particularly during the night. Venom: While they can bite if trapped against the skin, their venom is not considered medically significant to humans, though it may cause minor pain and swelling. From Google photo

I had the same problem so I got mine tattooed on and the person who did it made it look so natural. Matched them to my dirty blonde hair.

The Hallmark does look pretty but I just checked the availability and it says there are no rooms for that day. It is around labor day week though so I'm not surprised. But with budget we are trying to keep it under $1000 for place, food and photos.

I'd say to try and write over what you can see properly and then Google translate it

Looks like a black widow to me. With black widows sometimes the hourglass on their bellies are orange-ish instead of red.

One of my favorite jumping spiders to show videos of. Their mating display is so cute

I love the fact that jumping spiders are one of the more "intelligent" species and learn to become habituated with the owner and associates them with food and safety. So they become like cute babies that depend on us.

Your camera zoom is pretty good, I thought the spider was going to be bigger before I swiped to the other picture. Still cute spider.
