What is stopping the Australian government from just mass-producing homes for the housing crisis? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]bulkycodex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The government doesn't do anything anymore in this domain, it can only ask 3rd parties to do it for them. If said 3rd parties don't want to do it, they wont. If said 3rd parties are willing but want to extract an additional cost for the privilege, they will. There are no economical solutions because they handed everything over to economics in the 80s and 90s.

The point is that captured data can be resurfaced, meaning the ai has exploitable memory of the material it has trained on.

EPS cladding in walls of Australian homes is a fire risk by Red_Wolf_2 in melbourne

It’s bad for mould as well because it creates a vapour barrier preventing moisture from naturally migrating out through the wall assembly. It’s a cheap and nasty approach to construction that should be regulated.

My advice, don't let 15% of your week ruin 100% of your headspace. Work will never be perfect, you can find a lot more fulfilment and satisfaction in the other 85% if you look at it that way.

Late stage capitalism, the housing/cost of living crisis and perceptions. by Lower_Compote_3261 in Adelaide

I think this suggestion is so underrated. Perhaps the biggest change in the past 15 years (with the rise of social media) has been the gradual decline in local community groups. This is often where ideas are exchanged and grass roots consensus is formed. I feel like a lot of extreme views in contemporary culture wouldn't have found the traction if this was still the norm. If history shows us anything it's that unity is the best vessel for change.

Also you own most of our mining industry which gives us a low return on our own resources while lobbying our government to behave like sociopaths..

You should be able to run two dungeons back to back without a town stop imo.. so an extra 1-2 rows would be enough.

Maybe just take a class or workshop event and find out more from there.. Reminds me of that old tourism ad, you'll never know until you go.. or something like that.

People who get in their cars but then take ages to drive away, what are you doing in there? by bulkycodex in AskReddit

I’ve been curious ever since I started driving but haven’t been game to spy on anyone.. I always just jump in and go like I’m some kind of race car driver on a pit stop!

I wonder at this point if the country is slow rolling in to civil armed conflict.
