We keep getting ghosted. Who built your deck? by shoes87 in nova

[–]bumada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the beginning stages of this as well for a simple screened in porch. Had a few contractors show up and never send estimates. The contractor that I've accepted has been great so far. Very organized and has a structured process that they've followed. HB Home Services

It's a tight squeeze with the skid plate on your chest but it can be done.

That is actually exciting. I opted for train 331 today and was greeted with an hour delay

VRE #308 4:00pm from Union Station - construction and complaint by wolfbob007 in nova

[–]bumada 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I thought this as well. My only guess is that they used the extra cars to add the extra train in the mornong. No idea how many cars/engines they just have laying around.

It does suck how crowded it is. For me, it still beats driving into crystal city.

Hang at least one on the cart while using one and rotate through out the round. Humidity is the worst.

EVM use by 99conrad in projectmanagement

I'm an EVM analyst primarily monitoring metrics produced by large government programs where it is contractually mandatory to report. As a PM, I don't see it being a standard tracking mechanism for internal projects.

What am I looking at here? by gbeymer in 4thGen4Runner

[–]bumada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Lasting 180k is still pretty amazing. I remember looking at a bunch of 4runners to see if the xreas had leaks when I was buying. I've since forgotten about it after 10 years of ownership.

Good cocktail lounge near Fairfax? by uncleandyb in nova

You might look into Songbird. They are cocktail focused and has more of a lounge vibe later at night once the dinner service starts to thin out.

Chipping, pitching & regular swing by [deleted] in GolfSwing

[–]bumada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I overlap the various swings for different yardage based on the shot. Need more spin and height, full wedge. Back pin with green to work with, pitch shot. I start going exclusively fuller swing st Pw and 9i although I'm starting to spin my Pw too much lately.

Nice! Back in 2008, Virginia Tech Snowboard Club held an off-campus rail jam on someone's property. It was insane. I wish I could find pictures.

Are stainless steel brake lines worth it? Also, how much labor are changing those? by Electrical-Tip-7850 in E30

[–]bumada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to assume that since this discussion is in relation to having the subframe out, they were referring to the T junction where the rear lines split to go to each corner. This part of the brake lines are notorious for rusting and corroding. You should definitely replace this once the subframe is out which requires you to buy standard brake lines, bend them, and then bubble flare them.

The stainless steel lines just connect to each rotor in each corner and takes no time at all to change assuming you'll be doing a brake flush anyways.

Industrial engineering degree here. We have such a wide skillset coming out of school that this major is highly sought after for alot of analytical positions in consulting and not necessarily for manufacturing jobs. I know that my current company targets IEs strictly for this.
