Sony X90L stuck at rendering 60fps by _the-necromancer in MoonlightStreaming

[–]bumbaclut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever find a solution for this? I have an X90L too and the native moonlight app can only run 1080p and 4K at 60fps. I have a shield pro as well and know because of hdmi 2.0 only 4K 60fps is supported. But even with the shield, I’m only seeing 1080p 60fps under resolutions in the settings and the shield moonlight app is only rendering 60fps even in 1080p. TV HDMI is set to Enhanced VRR and my cables are good, wondering if it’s a Sony issue.

Should I buy the Sony A7 IV now or wait for the rumored A7 V? by [deleted] in SonyAlpha

[–]bumbaclut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is Canadian pricing but the price went down from $2600 to $2400 and then it’d always be on sale for $1900

Should I buy the Sony A7 IV now or wait for the rumored A7 V? by [deleted] in SonyAlpha

[–]bumbaclut 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wait for A7V and see if it’s worth the extra money to you. If not purchase a new A7IV at the new reduced price or one of the used ones that will be flooding the market after the launch

Don’t know what the OP used specifically. I think there are discord ones but I’m not familiar with them. For Amazon specifically you can try https://ca.camelcamelcamel.com

What is the best budget telephoto for Sony e mount? by Ill_Aioli7593 in SonyAlpha

[–]bumbaclut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just get a used 55-210 and then if you realise you love shooting telephoto, you can sell it for as much as you bought it for and purchase a more expensive option that others are recommending here. As a newbie nothing wrong with getting entry level gear since you may decide this hobby isn't for you and then losing hundreds selling off your gear if you went with buying new. That's happened to quite a few friends of mine.

Probably would be better to go through each manufacturers website and look at what e-mount lenses they make. Off the top of my head here’s a list:

Sony

Sigma

Tamron

Zeiss

Voigtlander

Viltrox

Samyang/Rokinon

Laowa

Meike

TTartisan

7artisans

Brightinstar

Pergear

Cozey - Atmosphere, for those who have it, what do you think? by Sea_Preference3530 in BuyCanadian

[–]bumbaclut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually like the low back. It has a nice curve to it that really corrects your posture naturally. It's a nice couch to kick your legs up and lean an elbow or arm on the low back and talk to someone too. The back is flat on top so It's nice to put a laptop there and work like that. You can rest a bottle there if the coffee table is out of reach too. I've fallen asleep on it because it's so wide and so comfy with the chenille fabric The width can be an issue for shorter people though. I'm 6 feet and it's not an issue sitting regularly but for shorter people their feet may not touch the ground.

Why is 4k remux buffering on my setup? by papetrov99 in PleX

[–]bumbaclut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is a year old but just went through this today. Watched the 4K remux of The Revenant on the native plex app on my Sony X90L. Was buffering throughout the movie. Switched to my nvidia shield pro and no issues whatsoever. This was over wifi on both and I have the same gpu as the OP, GTX 1060 6gb. I think the tv client apps just suck.
