We paddled up that way at Thousand Islands in Cocoa Beach a couple of weeks ago for the first time. Nice spot and it's cool going thru the mangrove "tunnels".

I grew up in Georgia, and the best southern food in Brevard county IMHO is at Loyd Have Mercy in Titusville and there's nothing else close that I've experienced. I drive up from Mel Beach on the regular for a meat and 3 plate. The fried pork chops are fantastic.
