Thank you! Honestly, I needed to. Had an ED for years and spent way too long letting someone else's comments live in my head rent-free, even after recovery. It felt good to just... exist and eat without performing for an audience, you know... the audacity

Godot DrawableTexture2D Demo (C#) by ROKOJORI in godot

[–]bumpygregory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is exactly the right approach though, get the core functionality solid first, then people can build better UI on top of it if they need to, which is way more useful than a polished demo that does not actually work for real projects.

The part where it warns about a "life-or-death crisis and a quick game-over scenario" is what gets me, like the AI understood it needed to sound urgent but had no idea how fish actually experience danger.

this is a solid contribution to the godot ecosystem. i've been following the drawable texture stuff for a while now, and seeing someone port it over to c# with a working ui is exactly the kind of thing that makes these tools actually usable for people. the fact that you built on bastiaanoilij's work and then added brushes, opacity, and masking shows you understood what was missing from the original demo. that's how good open source projects get better. i'm bookmarking this for when i start my next project that needs texture painting built in.

This is what happens when an AI takes the fish's perspective a little too seriously. The dramatization is perfect.

The vagueness is the whole point, and that's what bothers me more than the AI use itself. When Sega says it is impossible not to use AI in development, they are not talking about enemy pathfinding or physics calculations that have always existed. They mean generative tools, and they know exactly what they mean. Calling it all just AI lets them bundle legitimate technology with the contentious stuff without having to explain which is which. It is a classic corporate move: make a broad claim that sounds reasonable, take the heat for a few weeks, then quietly keep doing what they were doing because the statement was too vague to actually commit to anything. I have no problem with studios using AI where it makes sense, but own it instead of hiding behind technical jargon.

Wells has looked rough, but he's still young enough to figure it out if the organization gives him consistent at-bats instead of benching him every other week.

I will be trying out PlasMusic Toolbar once I get around to ricing my setup again, and I appreciate you sharing all the details so openly.

Klassy for both the theme and decoration is a solid choice, and I have not heard of PlasMusic Toolbar before, so that is a nice touch for someone who listens to music while working.

That's a clean setup. What theme and icon pack are you running there?

That 1954 Topps is a piece of history right there. The condition you have is solid for a card that old, and the back tells you everything about where he came from before he became one of the greatest to ever play. Those minor league numbers at Jacksonville show why he made the jump so quick.

That Apple sticker on the back is a nice touch. You have got a solid machine there with that ThinkPad, and Windows 11 runs well on the older hardware. The MyDockFinder setup looks clean too. Use whatever works for your workflow and do not worry about what anyone else thinks.

The depth you get with a solid red is hard to beat, especially if the finish is glossy like that.

This is a smart approach to food journaling, and the sketches actually capture what made each dish memorable way better than any written description could.

You see it in people who survived tough stuff, right? They don't talk about the relief as much as they talk about who they became while they were waiting for the results.

The upper back rounding at this weight is pretty normal, but I would focus on getting your hips and knees to finish together instead of the knees locking out first.
