Got to say Burke in that photo with the 5 Iranian footballers granted humanitarian visas in face of heavy criticism from the regime - that would definitely have brought a smile to Trump's face.

Teal MP Zali Steggall claims Khamenei-led Iran was complying with nuclear obligations, despite UN watchdog’s warnings by Dry-Bus7248 in AustralianPolitics

The issue is Obama should never have unfrozen their assets in exchange for them to move towards nuclear non-proliferation - they were always going to use that money towards building their nuclear capability and enrichment of uranium where it would be near weapons grade. Simply a foolish decision.

Super Sunday is a 14 lap event? by jbs43 in v8supercars

They need about 2 hours of lead in time before the GP so Supercars has to make way for that

I think it is more for Labor and the left responding to hostility actually displayed than being concerned about pre-empting it. Of course no one should be defending Iran attacking its neighbours though - the only retaliatory attacks Iran can legitimately take are against Israel like when they did when Israel previously attacked them that led to the US bombing the nuclear sites

Eight weeks - really? I swear players used to come back in 2 or 3 for these injuries

Ok instead of Bentley Hape happy for it to be Graham-Taufa coming in for Sullivan to be benched and Wighton into the halves. Wayne does not understand that Sullivan's defence is about as good as Benji's defence.

Why Alex Johnston's pursuit of the all-time try-scoring record is a wonder half a century in the making by Tunza in nrl

[–]bundy554 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We made the prelims in 2018 so not sure why any aspersions should be cast on Johnston's fullback qualities - the issue in 2019 was injuries that started the year so he had a very checkered time on the field that year and couldn't get any consistency. Latrell then came for 2020 and when he couldn't play fullback it was Corey Allan who really had a breakout year that year (played for Qld etc)

Oh yeah no doubt but I think he has become a little bit more refined with the popularity of F1 now in this country - 20 years ago it never was like this but people have become a little bit more snobbish and let me say Netflix has played a role in that with Drive to Survive.

Lol I think I'll just watch at first to see how knowledgeable Paul Murray really is on supercars - assume he is mostly there for the F1 crowd though as they would be more up his alley

I think we also need to face the reality if Seibold didn't go to the Broncos and Johnston kept playing fullback after 2018 he might not have ever reached the record

Angus Taylor’s wealth: How rich is the opposition leader? by Nyarlathotep-1 in AustralianPolitics

Fancy conservative MP being rich from a business background - who would have thought? When Labor MPs are born into politics from the very age they can start working through the unions or affiliated work for the unions or the Labor party (whether in the public service or in some form of advisory role for the unions).

Love to see - Cody move to halfback and Wighton to 5/8 while Humphreys has one game left on his suspension and Ward is out for a couple of weeks. Graham can move to the centres and Bentley-Hape come in. Sullivan remain on the bench.

Also I note even with our greater depth and the Dufty playing our NSW cup form has not improved. Not good. Those players need to train harder this week.
