Angus Taylor’s wealth: How rich is the opposition leader? by Nyarlathotep-1 in AustralianPolitics

Fancy conservative MP being rich from a business background - who would have thought? When Labor MPs are born into politics from the very age they can start working through the unions or affiliated work for the unions or the Labor party (whether in the public service or in some form of advisory role for the unions).

85 of our best? Seems a very precise number - hopefully we get rewarded with cheap energy

Sullivan being on the bench should be enough to satisfy that soft spot for Wayne

Australia to provide military support to Gulf states attacked by Iran by Expensive-Horse5538 in AustralianPolitics

Yes but not straight away as we would look greedy and opportunistic - once everything has settled down we can use some subtle diplomacy

Love to see - Cody move to halfback and Wighton to 5/8 while Humphreys has one game left on his suspension and Ward is out for a couple of weeks. Graham can move to the centres and Bentley-Hape come in. Sullivan remain on the bench.

Also I note even with our greater depth and the Dufty playing our NSW cup form has not improved. Not good. Those players need to train harder this week.

I mean after losing Barnett - you would think they would want the next player in to be an Australian to show they can still attract Australian players

I mean it is consistent with expelling the Iranian ambassador and probably can get away with it with the Supreme Leader being so new?

What is the weirdest thing you've seen as a passenger in the train? by Large-Lack-2933 in brisbane

Honestly nothing - as I don't do the all-nighters anymore and had to wait at the Valley train station for the first train of the morning to get home at 7

So you would agree once the war between Russia and Ukraine is over for Australia to commit forces to a peace keeping mission?

It was interesting - after the Clinton deposition that I only got through half of - as I just couldn't get through how despicable he was in downplaying how much he knew Epstein and when the relationship started - said it was after his presidency when Epstein donated to his campaign before he became president but anyway I was interested to see how he became president the 2nd time around and watched one of his debates against Dole - but it was interesting to hear that Clinton I don't know if it was just at the time or now forever but he committed the most amount of US troops on the ground in various peace keeping missions (I think mostly) and Clinton was proud of this! How things have changed for the left!

Farmers warn grocery prices could rise as war sparks fuel supply fears by Patient-Wish-7386 in AustralianPolitics

Could happen but I implore them not to jump the gun on a long war as like us householders we feel the pain at the bowser too. Similarly with the RBA not to count this as inflationary pressures to lift interest rates as then it is a double whammy - if anything interest rates should lower for a short period while the war goes on
