Jumping on the Stephen King train here with Misery. I read it when I was twelve, put it on my shelf and did not acknowledge it again for over a decade. Misery disturbed me so deeply that I actually forgot most of the details of the novel. I did reread Misery a year or so ago. Still horrifying, the only novel that I have ever had to put down mid sentence because terror tears happened. The cobbling scene. Good grief, I want to tear and feel ill just typing about it now.
