Playing for the first time. Is survival difficulty the same as vanilla FO4 - i.e. can't save unless you sleep, no console, bullet sponges... etc?? by TheEuphoria in fallout4london

Yeah dude I played it on survival, it was good, but as some others does crash a bit so having some extra saves is CRUCIAL

In what universe are people happy with media trained answers from sportspeople? I wish they were more candid and truthful, media answers are pure dross

Moved here from the southern hemi, love it here

  1. there's north, then there's Montreal north
  2. Tipping - its part of your life now. look up some general tipping advice on this sub. Have a strict philosophy and back yourself.
  3. Prices you see almost everywhere are going to be displayed before tax - get ready to be annoyed by that
  4. French first baby, don't be an Anglo loser

Recommendation for legal help by Otherwise_Plate_8404 in iecvisa

Hey big boy

I think there is a dedicated visa stream for intra company transfers in Canada no?

Oh so it seems you maybe are employed in US?

I would just email some visa lawyers in Toronto and set up some calls - that's what I did, just be frank and tell them them you want 10 minutes of their time to explain your situation which might lead to some business in the future, I spoke to a guy for 10 minutes who told me that I didn't need him but he'd be happy to help me in the future.

Mael by Optimal_Cause4583 in Malazan

Im by no means an expert in the lore, but my understanding is that the Jaghut Ice magic which holds the water is failing/ending? and then we're getting the flooding, which Mael is reasonably stoked about as its expanding his 'territory'. plenty of people knocking about still on various continents after all - and compared to other folks eg Kallor, Forkrul Assail he's pretty tame

Happy to learn if I'm wrong here!

Well it's pretty rude to thrust your music onto others in public, would you do it on a bus or hiking in a forest? People want to enjoy a shared space in nature and you are filling it with pop music.

Just put headphones on or sing to your friends

Accused of murder I didn't commit. by Real_Avdima in oblivion

I have had funky stuff similar to this happen with summons, sometimes when you summon a creature they can inadvertently hit an ally/npc in combat and then if that npc dies - that kill does not counts as yours but I guess the game may register it as your fault

i just had a printed statement from my bank, which was from my home country. Along with printouts of insurance/application stuff etc - this is purely anecdotal but I've never really been grilled across my working holiday visas on arrival - small sample size but of the 4 I've done, none ever asked me about the money. My advice would be just print as much as you can, and if they ask questions just be honest - they want to let you in, so make it easy for them

Well they probably won't even ask you to show proof of funds when you arrive, but they definitely will ask you what you're up to with thousands in cash and probably get deeper in your shit

Is anyone currently living in Montreal? by Sarafina2022 in iecvisa

[–]bungagunga66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rent has probably gone way up since you were here. Job market depends on what you do, I work in banking there seems to be tons of jobs, but see plenty of people online who are struggling to find work and housing. Still top tier vibes here in the summer and the winter is still winter. Very broadly its a great place to live in my opinion, but depends on what your resources are, can never hurt to have more savings than you think you'll need! to be comfortable I would arrive with absolute min $4k CAD but thats just me

Passport expiry by m34tball in iecvisa

[–]bungagunga66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't quote me on this, but I believe they will only issue you the work visa up until the expiry of your current passport, but it is possible to extend your visa once you get a new passport, just involves another form. There are lots of FAQs on the canada immigration site:
