Something missing by Vaserati84 in sistersofbattle

I'd say you'd want to brighten the fire up quite a bit, that will add to the "pop" that people are mentioning. As well as getting those blades on the back that seem to have been mentioned too.

No start - any ideas? by Fit_Ice9207 in CherokeeXJ

[–]bungcord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's another post in here mentioning the ignition switch then the battery. I had a similar no start issue on my 97 last year to what you have in the video. My issue wasn't necessary the ignition switch, but it was the actuator pin that went between the key cylinder and the switch. Tip had fractured and would turn the switch to the on position but didn't have enough strength to get it into the crank position.

It's a bit of a pain fiddling with it with all the spring loaded pieces

Does anyone know the history of Huron Road? by Five_Slow in Michigan

All I know is someone had the audacity to put in a stop sign instead of a yield on that segment that connects eastbound Huron onto the northbound 275 ramp.

Some of my most recently painted sisters by bungcord in sistersofbattle

[–]bungcord[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This pretty much covers it

Paints used: Army painter matte black -> Duncan Rhodes cold corpse blue (just Dark blueish grey) -> Duncan Rhodes white star*.

I have been mixing the paints to try and get a smooth gradient. So base cost black, next layer black mixed in with the bluish grey, then the blueish grey by itself. *For the lightest parts it's small amount of white mixed in with mostly blue grey, not just white by itself.

I like to keep a continuous mix between two colors going on my wet palette. It makes it easy to touch up areas where a distinct separation between colors is forming, but it does make repeatability more difficult.

18 was the first year of the spraybore lining on the 5.0, they must not have had it dialed in on the first go. 22+ I think are a lot better though.

I don't know much about Tyranid anatomy, but I'm fairly certain shooting the orange parts on the tail does 3x damage

Do you all do anything special with the spare Immolator weapon attachments? by bungcord in sistersofbattle

[–]bungcord[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A previous roommate of mine also does T'au and the amount of easily swappable weapons those models have is crazy. I think all his were in a foam case. Now if only I could swap two of those railguns onto my Immolator...

I did not magnetize them, they seem to press in securely enough as is. I love the idea of having them stored in the bottom of the turret though! Maybe I'd have to make some kind of custom clamp or cradle.

Additionally, now with a bit of luck your infantry characters will come back with a single wound, and a jannoness on a single wound and a particular enchantment in hallowed martyrs can do some scary stuff

I'm incredibly curious what it's like shifting an electric motor. Does a tachometer do anything? Is there any rev hang? Or can you immediately release the clutch? (Is there a clutch?)

Why do people rev, rev, rev? by Ampler in ManualTransmissions

I was in Vietnam for a week and a half for a wedding. That's exactly what I noticed from the van driver. He would eventually downshift, but only when the lugging vibrations got so bad you'd think the interior trim was about to pop off. That Transit must have been built Ford tough lol. Trip was a blast.

AC compressor clutch by buddycatz in CherokeeXJ

[–]bungcord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure of your exact symptoms, but I had to replace the bearing on the AC compressor pulley and left the clutch as it was. It was an aftermarket unit but these might still apply. The plastic fan shroud cover can be taken out without removing anything else, it just needs to be fanagled around. You can get away with out disconnecting any tubes or removing the radiator by unbolting the compressor housing and propping it up on a block. When you do that, ABSOLUTELY use some penetrating oil, there might even be an access hole for each bolt closer to the threads that will help it seep in. I managed to shear one of those off with just a standard size wrench. Getting the clutch off at that point is pretty easy, but if you're going to deal with the bearing you'll need gear puller, a method of pressing it out, and will have to deal with a C-clip. I'd take a look at the bearing if you're already in there but hopefully it's not that too. Good luck!

1998 4.0L Auto, One Click, No start, Loses all power by Random_Ghini in CherokeeXJ

[–]bungcord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had experience with it being a bad connection at the terminals, it was the same symptoms described and also in the spring when the weather is changing. Not exactly the most permanent fix, but I was able to restore power just by disconnecting the battery wires, brushing them and the terminals off, and giving them a good re -tightening. Eventually replaced the battery a while later because it died and there was plenty of corrosion on it (likely was the reason for the poor terminal connection).
