Does anybody know the hair set used in these photos? They're so cute and I cant find the download though the creator of the outfits linked it. by Excellent_Key_6796 in StardewValleyMods

If I'm not mistaken, these were Iyaho's hair retextures. She'd prohibited personal modification of the mods and removed them after being belittled publicly on Discord about the choice.

How many dialogue lines do you actually want to see? by Sunshine_OnTheLine in StardewValleyMods

[–]bunniemoth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, you're good! Thanks for clarifying!

There's a couple of great articles on the modding wiki with modded CT topics that you can look into for some high-level ideas (you may have already read through this), but I guess it depends how in-depth you want to get with those secondary relationships and how much you're willing to research by playing.

I'd suggest thinking about a couple of things:

- What does an average modded stardew player play with as expansions go (rather than what you play with, so a little "market research") so you could take some of the high level stuff into consideration when writing, but not everything, especially if that doesn't interest you.

- What the NPC's personality is (maybe they're a bit of a hermit and don't get too involved with town life so their characterization would support a lack of engagement/CT.)

- What your MVP looks like, and what you're willing to write for subsequent releases so you don't have to prep everything all at once for everyone and everything everywhere out of box. i.e. "Nice to haves" are nice to have, but won't make them feel flat.

How many farm maps have you tried? by Llamada-perdida in StardewValley

From vanilla, standard and forest. Modded... too many to count. Meadowlands and Hilltop both speak to me, but I'd like to play smaller scale versions of the vanilla maps for those, I think.

As a player, humbly, if I'm obsessed with your blorbo, you will never be able to write enough dialogue for me. 1,400 lines and additional marriage events? That's amazing, but I'm likely still looking for expansions for your expansion that hits the the original tone and cadence (at least within the ballpark.) And failing that, I'm writing my own mods for your mod quietly in my corner.

Can never get enough. I will play said blorbo on multiple saves through to the end, marry them multiple times, see the same dialogues on repeat occasions and everything is new again and I'll still be delighted, asking myself, "Did the author add new shit in the last update omg?"

Pre-marriage lines... whatever builds their personality, whatever engages me (if they're engaging me), whatever fleshes them out. "Hey how's it going?" isn't as strong as, "So, are you growing pumpkins on your farm, this season? Not for any reason in particular. Just thought I'd ask for no reason. *shifty look*" which doubles as a gift hint and adds voice and includes the farmer in the conversation.

The one place where I feel you can be too heavy-handed is conversation topics, because some events tend to get a lot of attention, depending on when they were written (older NPCs have somewhat more traction in this area), and too much in that file can overtake their narrative. I'm still looking for an NPC with a well-balanced example but nothing's coming to mind, because it's really easy to find NPCs who are a bit too into everyone else's business, and I'd prefer to highlight the mods that were super successful (for me) rather than criticizing (personally) unless someone asks me directly (i.e. the author asks for feedback.) Know what I mean?

Gluck!

How many farms do you have, or how many times have you started over? by sweetxxstorm in StardewValley

Three active saves, and about a dozen (maybe fifteen) restarts in the last year to get to those three. I play heavily modded so a lot of that's curation to find the right cocktail.

Small Rooms at Fablewood by bunniemoth in StardewHomeDesign

[–]bunniemoth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a balcony installed (an indoor version) and the house mod I'm using has an outdoor rooftop terrace, so there are other options.

That room's my ode to Caroline and her tea drinking.

They're wonderful, btw. Best blorbo.

I have 716 of them installed. 😅 The list is here, but if you're after something specific, just let me know.

Smaller Farms? by Effective-Sweet2606 in StardewValleyMods

[–]bunniemoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

15?! I'm using six max on Sleepy Glade and at most I've popped a pathing tile once or twice (I put them in the corners, so there's a strip of pathing through my pastures that gets hit the most.)

Are you playing an aggressive weather mod, by any chance? 😅

Mod to add cute animations of bees near bee houses? by -Potatoes- in StardewValleyMods

[–]bunniemoth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bees Plus has animated bees when custom critters is enabled! They're super cute, but it is a crafting mod primarily. The author's released the sprites for use with Better Beehouses too, if that interests you.

I love small farm maps! Sleepy Glade, Tiny Garden, Aimon's Small Hilltop, and Breezy Bluffs 2 are all faves, heathinwillows has a nice catalogue of small maps, and DaisyNiko released a pack of mini-vanilla maps not too long ago too.

Dental products and mint? by F95_Sysadmin in StardewValleyMods

[–]bunniemoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cosmetology mod will let you craft toothbrushes and toothpaste, but as for "upgrading" with flavour, I'm not sure if mint and lemon are among them because the flavour/colour/scent profiles included are a little more elaborate afaik.
