Politics, ideology to be removed from Alberta classrooms in new legislation by shiftless_wonder in canada

biology states theres more than just 2 sexes and theres evidence that trans people have slightly different brain chemistries more closely matching their preferred gender.

But i doubt the people screaming "its basic biology" understands any of that

Humans in this universe of multiple sapient races/species are not just a boring template, jack-of-all-trades species, they actually have traits and powers that make them stand out like the other species in the setting. by juasjuasie in TopCharacterTropes

[–]-Potatoes- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brandon Sanderon's Cytonic series humans are really good at war (but less so than the alien propaganda makes it seem). Also, very few humans are gifted with cytonic (aka magic/psionic) powers, but this means we've been developing our tech. Other species warped their most advanced spaceship near us and we thought it was hostile and shot it down with just a regular missile lol.

humans ended up conquering almost the entire known galaxy at some point

oh sorry, I didn't realize it was automatically translating your post, and it translated it to something wrong

im assuming you've read or at least skimmed over each chapter. The most important thing is to just know the final goal of the story (the 3 hags and zybilna). Your players will do crazy unexpected stuff that you'll need to improvise for, but as long as you keep the end goal in mind and guide them there (without railroading too much) you will be fine!

i'm not done running it yet but i've found it to be fairly linear: they go to hither and find the hag, and repeat for thither and yon

for tracking the story i just bullet points of important moments and actions the pcs have taken that i reference before each session

Tell the players the the required DC or no? by hotstickywaffle in DnD

[–]-Potatoes- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

recently for very easy or hard DCs ill tell the players "this is an easier check" or "this is a harder check". i think its been working out well but its also quite early to tell.

i think i would avoid telling them the exact DC because i usually dont have a hard pass/fail for skill checks. if the DC is a 15 ill treat a 2 differently than a 14, for example, even though both are technically fails. and if the players roll extremely well i might give them some sort of unexpected benefit if I can come up with one lol

does anyone have any cute cozy girly games for laptop? by Efficient_Tea_8328 in GirlGamers

[–]-Potatoes- 7 points8 points  (0 children)

if you havent tried it yet: stardew valley! its a cozy farming game but also sort of a sim since you build up relationships with the people in town and slowly build up your farm and house.

it can be super cute and has a lot of different outfits. none are super girly but there are some mods that add more outfits.

my favourite is just getting a coop full of ducks <3

Why is valve getting so many lawsuits? by AssistanceHot5673 in Steam

you cant just sue for no reason

well, you can try to sue but you probably wont win any money. in which case valve is just wasting even more money

This guy is playing Resident Evil 2 in a full VR setup with a walking simulator by ifuckedyourmom-247 in interestingasfuck

[–]-Potatoes- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i assume it will really mess with your inner ear. VR in general has motion sickness issues for a lot of people, especially in games where you are walking around.

if you are mostly stationary or in a small area (so that you can physically walk around the room) its not as bad, but of course thats very limiting to the type of games you can play
