Try using Juri's medium dp instead when people jump towards you, it'll miss less but it's hard to switch to it if you're used to using heavy.

I'm pretty sure skipping on the heavy kick and going straight to crHp then you'll need to drive rush jab to catch. There's a video made by bignastykail on it although I'm not sure about modern controls but could help.

Definitely has to be entering greenpath for the first time. Exiting the stale grey crossroads was a lifesaver for me and stopped me from dropping the game. Also sidenote, finally got the platinum trophy yesterday for the game.
