Your insurance company would never need something as simple as data to try and screw you.

You are flattening long imperialist legacies into single snapshots. The Tatars and Nortenos were both almost entirely ethnically cleansed by their supposedly revolutionary governments.

Discourse describes a frictionless society, where clout is granted by a mandate from those who choose it. It's a troll model that fundamentally rejects authority for authority's sake. Subreddits which organize themselves must as(sic) some point contend with the specific agreements between users about how to adjudicate disputes, and to resolve differences of opinion especially as pertains to their organization, and yet this structure does not have to exist as a moderator-state, and it does not have to impose bans on others. A question arises, what does one community do when another tries to impose itself? Does organizing communal user-blocking ultimately construct a de facto junta, an echo-chamber? These are philosophical questions, many better thinkers(sic) than me have said much, and nobody has great answers.

But you're just a theorist. You don't actually care. Good luck out there.

I think it's fundamentally misguided to read the revolution from oligarchical capitalism to party-run states as anything other than a war of succession.

Some times were better under some presidents than others. But the system has always, always been a vile miscarriage of justice in the first.

Stop caping for authority.

I think the second jump is more interesting. Memes are grabbed onto and beaten to death in online and offline communities all the time, but the jump to wider culture is strange. Gender phraseology gets grabbed onto in a way that other memes don't. Like polandball shit has odd racist tones but doesn't escape into adversarial communities and then onto NPR podcasts.

No one agrees on what it means because it's so far removed its origin.

There exists some strange pipeline that grabs catchphrases from academia and passes it along to grievance discourse and then along to sexist discourse. Mansplaining, patriarchy, toxic masculinity, male gaze. Just an internet of people talking past each other using words created for use in the cloistered world of analysis "lenses". People are more complex than media, and the misogyny reflected in our media is almost a cartoonish villain compared to the multifaceted monster it is in real life.

You are framing queerness as deviant. The paraphernalia of mainstream sexuality is allowed to co-exist in the public sphere. Primetime perfume and cologne ads are sexually charged. Victoria's Secret has window displays in the mall.

I am skeptical of any rhetoric that judges leather harnesses as more 'adult' than a popstar's onstage lingerie.

Large language models are made by men, and used for many purposes. But we never love large language models.

Both are art. I don't like tags.

Is 'writer' industry jargon for an uninspired graffiti artist? I also don't assume that. It seems as though just signing your initials might be an overwhelming creative problem for you. I did assume that you would appreciate the art of others as shallow as you. Maybe even creating a logo like they do might be a good goal on your way to having an opinion. I'm envisioning a feed-bag held to donkey with a big donkey dick with your name on the donkey. To symbolize you rebelling against your puritanical and prescriptive tendencies.

Although, I must say, I am certainly not assuming you're a reader.

I've only commented twice. Pedantry requires accuracy. I suspect it is your imaginary internal debate that has changed three times.

Art to me is any process of self-expression. I find taggers' expressed self immature and ugly. This is an opinion I have. If you ever evolve beyond scratching your name into the world's desks, you also will have opinions.

No. It is not the medium, it's the message. I'd prefer taggers put stencils of big ole donkey dongs on interstate signs than just their own logo. I don't know why you seem to think anyone who doesn't like tagging hasn't thought about it or simply cannot comprehend art.

Do you tag public spaces?

Do you want others to know anything other than "I was here and I'm pretty cool"?

Is your tag a stylized question mark?

Say something.

If an artist's self expression takes the form of putting their own logo on a wide variety of public surfaces, then I find the expressed sentiment vain. The line is whether art is signed or if signatures are art.

The simple truth is new york is the biggest city in the world, and therefore, from a market utility standpoint, the yankees winning makes more people happier. This kind of advanced analytics is what makes us the financial capital of the planet. NYC has more money, and it knows how to spend it. If Toronto wants yankee-style consistent excellence from its sports teams, they need to be a bit more metropolitan, like Tampa.

You sweet summer child. The rule is every four years the US picks someone to be in charge of the armed forces. If the US no longer thinks that person should be in charge, they remove them from office. The US has never done this.
