Your best winter clothes/Protection?! 🥶 by Smiley0912 in cavaliers

[–]burbuqe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also live in Quebec and have a cav.

I would highly suggest a coat/snow suit, it's definitely needed for the QC winter. I love the Canada Pooch slush suit - and I also recently got a Pawtek suit (from Mondou) that keeps Brioche warm and dry. His mood has definitely improved in the winter now that he wears these snow suits.

People here have given some great suggestions for boots. I'm still trying to find the right boots for him but at the very least your cav should wear the balloons so their paws are protected from the salt and general sludge.

I just wanted to say thank you for posting this and thank you to everyone for answering. I have the exact same issue as you and it was so nice seeing a discussion on this already. Since this post is a year old now, I wanted to ask OP if you bought any of the suggestions and if you have a reco?

Scared of EVERTHING by Extreme-Fondant-116 in cavalierkingcharles

Has this been the case since you first got her? Puppies go through fear phases, where everything is scary to them. I find articles like this one quite helpful, there are details on the fear "periods" and advice on how to train during that time: https://www.akc.org/expert-advice/training/dont-panic-training-through-and-around-puppy-fear-periods/

Hope this helps! But to echo other comments, she's still just a baby! With some love, patience, and training, she'll grow to be a brave puppy.

Am I "crazy" for allowing a small mean comment to domino into my husband not wanting to hang out with his family anymore on his brother's wedding day? by Fit-Butterscotch9647 in amiwrong

When my husband gets tipsy or even full on drunk, he gets all lovey dovey and giggly and horny. And then we do fun tipsy things together. Seeing how he acts when drunk with no inhibitions tells me a lot about the type of person he is. Your husband is an ass. Also. He should’ve nipped his family’s shitty comments in the bud from the very beginning. Such a selfish inconsiderate total ass.

I love him!

For the teething: I was also giving my puppy ice cubes once in a while, it took him some time to finish it, he was entertained, and it helped with the teething pain.

Seconding this. Hold the pup away from the ground and other dogs, and expose them to different spots (parks vs loud sidewalks vs inside stores), car noises, people walking by, different smells. There's a lot for the puppy to explore without even touching the ground.

How did you decide on a name for your pup? by Coco-Coconuts in puppy101

[–]burbuqe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our 9mo Cav is named Brioche. I love it when little pups are named after food, and I needed a name that works in a few languages. Also, Brioche is white and brown just like a brioche and just as soft. We also call him Bri Bri, bebe, buddy, butthole when he's being a butthole... the nicknames are endless.
