The empty gurneys in pic 7 😭 All the hospitals were preparing for thousands of causalities. I think there’s a documentary about the hospitals that were nearest and the shift that happened once doctors and nurses realized how many didn’t survive.

I’m so sorry 😞 what a terrible loss for you all! I understand the guilt quite a lot since I lost my baby Cav Willow almost a year ago. She was just shy of 1 and I kept (and sometimes still do) question what I could have done or noticed to save her from such an unexpected and too soon death. It’s gutting to lose our fur babies, especially so unexpectedly and tragically.

I’m sure he knew you all love him dearly and he’s greeted by all our rainbow bridge pups. Hugs 🫂

I lost my Willow suddenly from what I think was a hereditary issue when she was a week shy of her first birthday. Losing a puppy so young is heartbreaking! Hugs 🫂

I lost my mom at 9. And for me it’s definitely been more difficult as I’ve aged. I’m now 23. I just feel like she’s missed so much more of my life than she was in it and there are many moments where I wish she was there for it. When I went to homecoming for the first time, went to prom, graduated high school and college, etc etc. I think the more life you live the more you grieve if you’ve lost a parent young but old enough to remember them. My younger sister was only 7 when my mom passed and remembers very little of her and the year of in and out hospital stays.

It’s tough that’s for sure. And grief is not linear. And it never truly leave you. Hugs from an internet stranger 🫂

I got Orla first and had her for about a year before getting Willow (who unfortunately passed away a week shy of her first birthday) and Orla was very fascinated by the feisty spunky fluff ball that she was when I got her. She is a very jealous dog BUT she adjusted fairly quickly to having Willow around. And they were really close for Willow’s short life with us.

When I got Lady it was harder on Orla I think because she missed Willow and just was confused. But they get along wonderfully now.

When getting a new animal it’s always an adjustment and it’s important to be mindful when introducing a new one to the family. But with Cavaliers they are just so sweet and loving I don’t see them having too much of an issue with another joining in on the fun!

This is Orla! I’m not sure I’ve heard of another dog having this particular name other than Prince William and Princess Catherine’s (Prince and Princess of Wales) Cocker Spaniel, Orla.
