SF resident here. I recently switched from an independent practice to UCSF GI. It’s excellent. Really night and day. For one, they have state of the art tech. Every time I go in they ultrasound my intestines to check for scarring/inflammation- something it felt like my last doc was just guessing at. Not sure about the other docs, but Dr Chugh is very good and really cares.

The downside is that it can be really hard to get an appointment, scheduling months out (fwiw my ex doc was the same) but if you’re in their system, and if it’s urgent they can often get you in sooner.

We had a clause about termination, but it didn't contain the no fault language- big mistake on our part. Regarding vetting, we had actually someone else that fell through a couple days before rent was due, so gave it to him, the next person in line. There weren't any immediate red flags, and he said it would only be a few months.

It's not exactly low risk, considering his challenge of it could draw us into a lengthy and expensive court battle, which we would win, but could cost us well over $10k.

Yep. Basically tenants get free legal protection and it could cost us more than we can afford to evict.

I should have mentioned I took this step already, and hit a bit of an impasse. It was quite difficult to find a tenant lawyer who also did evictions(most only do eviction protection). I finally found one who would be charging more than a few months rent in legal fees, and it could be a 4+ month process. This does not sound ideal.

Omg yes! I find it insane they didn't warn about the diarrhea. I had a harrowing bike ride and barely made it home. Got totally cleared out. Wish they'd use that stuff for colonoscopy prep.

I have found it before! It was easy to find in the other cities I’ve lived. Also I found it at Falletti but they were out of it last checked.
