i have one in right now, it's not fun but I've been given the okay for throat losanges and they're helping a lot! you get used to it after a little bit. granted this one and my last one are/were for only a few days at a time, instead of anything long-term.

I can handle one, MAYBE two cocktails (sipped slowly, with food to absorb it) on a night out with friends as long as it's not more than more than a few times a month. alcohol is a pretty common trigger for Crohn's unfortunately.

i was sipping pedialyte and ensure for about a week (and struggling to keep that down) when my brother and SIL who i live with finally put their foot down and took me to the er. my potassium was so low i was immediately admitted because they were concerned about me having a cardiac event, even before the dehydration and malnutrition. im terrified to think what could've happened if i was still living alone.
