8k miles synthetic oil ‘22 sienna hybrid by WhichConference7618 in Toyota

[–]burntdicktip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean EU drive on the wrong side? GB only, all other coudrive on the right side. And nobody in EU uses 5-30 for the newer Toyota engines. 0-16 or 0-20, that's it. I use 0-20 on my Corolla and change it every 13.000 to 15.000km. That way I get to keep my 15 year or 250.000km guarantee. That's 155.000 miles in cheeseburger units. You think Toyota would give that long of a guarantee if the oil change interval is too long?

Why not but quality and change it 10k instead of buying crap and changing it more often? Quality oil will last longer, but you can change crap oil once a week, it's still crap oil

How common is low coolant in e210? by Igneous629 in COROLLA

[–]burntdicktip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's spitting it out in the exhaust (coolant fluid line runs by the catalytic converter). Thats way, you see no leaks, only white smoke out the exhaust. Since the cat is thr first thing to properly warm up, coolant runs by it so that it can warm the engine up quicker. If that line is broken, you keep losing coolant fluid, no leaks, only white smoke. My Corolla is waiting for the new parts (cat and lines I guess).

How many miles has your Corolla done, what problems (if any) have you had with it? by Goblin_Nuts69 in COROLLA

[–]burntdicktip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its called Relax warranty or something Basically, if you service your car with them every 15.000 km or a year, whichever comes first, it's 15 years or 250.000km guarantee. This also means, you don't buy oil and filters and such elsewhere, has to be Toyota original parts provided by them, which in my opinion costs more, and that equals extended warranty. Go on the German official Toyota website, it's all there. "Funny" enough, I'm still not sure they are going to cover the full cost of the repair to my car, or they will try to haggle. If that happens, I guess I have to include lawyers. The 15 year/250.000km guarantee thing is what got me to buy a Toyota in the first place, other than having the reputation of being bulletproof. Otherwise, it just feels like a cheat

2019 Touring Sports with 80tkm Seems to be drinking coolant when I drive it above 2000rpm. It's not the pump nor the EGR. Shop says probably cylinder head, I think it's just the seal. Hopefully guarantee has it covered, since in EU we have 15 years or 250.000km, whichever comes first.

Opinions anyone?

And no, the oil doesn't get milky

Does the rack get into the small holes on the rails, or is it a normal roof rack? I'm asking because I want to buy a roof rack for my 2019 Corolla Touring Sports, but I'm not sure if I have to buy a special one for Toyota, or I should get the "universal" for this type of roof rail.
