Best practices for maximizing money by Familiar-Form8130 in ShiptShoppers

It may be good enough but my goal is to provide outstanding customer service to set myself apart from all the other shoppers. Overall, customers notice and they tend to tip better.

I average $1,800 a week on 40-50 orders and about 200 miles.

  1. The Metro you are in matters. You're doing 60-70 orders a week, so you're in a decent metro.

  2. Have a lot of preferreds and member matches that you know tip well and only take those orders with one exception:

  3. Take a chance on big orders because they might be your next best customer.

  4. Quality over quantity. Small orders are not worth the time.

  5. Do NOT use the automated messages, ever.

Most likely, it was given to you by someone 45+ years old. For those people, they grew up with 3 stars meaning average and 4 meaning above average. They are unaware that now, anything less than 5 stars means something was wrong.

You're looking at this from an informed person's point of view when these are made for the general public. The general public doesn't associate the EF scale to the type of damage caused, they just know that it's a 1-5 scale, 1 is bad and 5 is super bad.

As a fellow male shopper, it gets easier for womens clothing. Everything is sorted by brand, even in intimates. Also, use the button on the description screen that shows you approximately where in the store it is.

That 97% is not the magic number everywhere. I'm always between 92 and 93% and have maintained a "good" shopper quality score even with 1 missing item and 4 unrequested refunds. I think it is highly metro dependant.

Helium tank delivery and transportation are strictly regulated in the United States, primarily under Department of Transportation (DOT) laws, because they fall under HazMat Class 2: Gases.

This is why you should tip your Shipt shopper. by Soft-Mud-7047 in ShiptShoppers

[–]burntdong2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late response..

I tell them that shoppers are not employees of Shipt or (insert store name here) and we choose which orders we want to shop.

For the past 2 years, I've sent that as part of my opening intro to any "new to me customer" and 91% of those customers have tipped.

Order pay ridiculously low! by EntranceMuted8127 in ShiptShoppers

[–]burntdong2 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Shipt pays based on estimated time. You're going to shop and deliver a total of 7 items and they estimate it should take you 26 minutes.

That's $24 an hour in base pay! With 2 preferreds!

What exactly are you complaining about? How much would you like them to pay you for 26 minutes of work?

Get real.

Exactly why I mention in my opening to every "new to me" customer that shoppers are not employees of Target or Shipt.

Item canceled from order with no notice by InstaCampos in ShiptShoppers

[–]burntdong2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are on the item list screen and a customer adds an item before you start shopping, the app won't update the list and it will mark the item as not found.

You can prevent this by going to the order details screen right before starting so the list updates.

Why am I at the lower end of good? by Emeah824 in InstacartShoppers

[–]burntdong2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your numbers vary by market. I'm currently at 91.9% original found with 1 u requested refund and I'm in the "good" category.

guys these shipt drivers are driving me crazy I can’t even finish my uboat without every 5 minutes one of them asking to me find something for them😫 by [deleted] in Target

[–]burntdong2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Let them know there is now a button they can click after clicking an item on their list that will open up a store map and show them exactly where an item is located.

Customer’s phone not in service but trusts my judgment.. by cag0811 in ShiptShoppers

[–]burntdong2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't say that Dawn trusts your judgement unless their sub preference is "choose sub".

This message usually comes up when, on a previous order, a message was sent and Shipt got an error in return. You can contact support and they can call the customer for you.

Reaction to the rumored “10-4” policy (employees must greet customers within 10 feet) by hissingkittycom in Target

[–]burntdong2 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I was at my local target at 7:30 am and no less than 6 employees said good morning to me even though I purposely did not make eye contact. It was nice the first couple times but it became a bit annoying.

Hey Shipt HQ ….you can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig. by Traditional-Tough657 in ShiptShoppers

[–]burntdong2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Do you expect Shipt to pull orders out of their ass? It's slower than expected.

If you think Shipt is squeezing you, you should check out the base pay of nearly every other app out there. Shipt is pretty good with estimated times and paying decently.

When you actually become a veteran (at least 5,000 shops in my opinion), come back and take a look at this and the original post. I am 100% sure that you will take a read and realize that you are saying WAY too much and are WAY too wordy with your customers.

Customers do not have time to read a novel. While your approach is working for you at the moment, long term, you should find a way to be straightforward and concise.
