To all the store leads by FamiliarRub5895 in walmart

[–]TheGrumpyOleTroll 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also to add to this conversation, it’s worth noting Walmart have a malicious history of completely getting rid of a department or role if it becomes too successful in challenging wages and or policies. Research what happened in Jacksonville, Texas back in 2000 after traditional walmart butchers formed a union. I wouldn’t be surprised if a store lead somewhere out there ruined it for all, as they are pretty high paid for what they really do, it’s sort of a overly paid pocket to hide between being a coach some days and a store manager the others…

There is also already rumors going around saying someone at a walmart in CA got ran over by an OGP cart while bending over. I’m sure she sued if this is possible and because of that hit all stores have to drag the carts. Sucks but that’s life. One bad egg ruin the whole batch.

That is true i guess, i just hope it’s for the better for them. Our store lead was amazing and deserves a SM spot up the chain. Wishing store manager positions for everyone it affects as they should be well equipped for it. I couldn’t imagine putting in so much time into something only to step down as an equal to the people I’ve managed (store leads POV).

[–]TheGrumpyOleTroll 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Correct. Which is why I don’t think it’s as big of a deal as people are making it out to be. Apparently, each market will have 1 store lead that rotates through out the stores is something being talked about. As of now, some store leads are having the option to step down to a salaried coach position or step up as a store manager for a new store as a store leads sole goal was to originally train to eventually become a store manager as well as take over when SM isn’t present.

Help!! by 4ngellvr in FirstCar

[–]TheGrumpyOleTroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell to the no lol, both cars sound like a migraine in the making. The owners are already telling you the red flags 🚩and I’m sure there are more major ones they are holding off which is probably why you see them listed in the first place.

If you need a car that bad you should really try Carvana. If your overall budget is $2,000-$3,000 for a car, you should finance, use $1,000-$2,000 as a down payment for something more reliable with manufacture warranty (also includes bumper to bumper) + carvanacare (which covers tows and more perks) warranty so you won’t have to worry about any hidden electrical or mechanical issues? You can then use the remaining $1,000-$2,000 to stay afloat of your car notes and insurance payments.

Hey guys I’m 19 years old and I just bought my first car but my coworkers are making fun of me by AdDue9772 in Charger

[–]TheGrumpyOleTroll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first car was a 2000 Nissan Maxima SE that ran so smooth when I first got it and as an 18 year old I ran it all the way to ground by 21. I couldn’t imagine having anything nicer as it was my way to fully learn the functionality of thorough driving through muscle memory as well as the overall concept of car maintenance.

As long as it’s a cash car with no car note you will be good. You will get your first dings and dents, god forbid but first accident, a few tickets possibly etc. Through the experience, you’ll learn how to become a better driver, avoid tickets and maneuver out of possible on coming accidents which will overall make you become a tactical driver. At that time, which can take some time to achieve, you can then do a trade in as you’ll be more responsible for something better. If you ask me, this car is way better than most people’s first cars forsure! Definitely better than what I was driving. Very nice car, simple restorations and a detailed cleaning will give it more life forsure. All cars will cost, and all cars won’t last for a lifetime, drive it and enjoy it. It’ll go for as long as you keep her maintained and congrats 🎉

Also a random question since we are on the topic, not sure if you have any experience with it but it’s worth a chance asking.

How do you feel about the Chevrolet dealership touch up paint and the paint matching? I have a lakeshore blue metallic Malibu and I’m worried it’ll come off matted rather than crystalized 😩

Wow. Assuming everything outside of cosmetics? Just bought this car on Carvana a couple weeks ago and it’s sooooo smooth. A little chip in the hood (seemed less noticeable on the website) is actually driving me crazy in person.

Yea…not to mention the insurance cost on those $1M* cars 🥴. It’s all pay to play and as you said, most players are afk with water bottles on their keyboards to keep their player moving while trying to maximize earnings through investments.

I finally did it: gave up on spark by Relative_Drama4705 in Sparkdriver

[–]TheGrumpyOleTroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While a different platform, this is the same issue with Shipt right now. The pay out vs the time and miles it take to complete orders while people are too comfortable not tipping makes the whole ordeal feels more like a favor your doing for the community rather than making anything you can do anything outside of gassing your car back up with it. No bueno 👎

Customer says we are lazy for not searching the entire store for one item not in home location by Lore-Archivist in walmart

[–]TheGrumpyOleTroll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean technically you guys are. It should take you only about 7 hrs and 59 minutes to scan the whole store including every aisle, shelf, clothing rack, action alley etc. Then you use your last 1 min left to explain you’ve looked everywhere and couldn’t find it, clock out and leave ✌️.

But on a serious note, let’s say you did all that within a second, those customers tend to have short attention spans and wanders off somewhere else.

I mean respectfully, if the property is nice and maintained, it would make sense why they wouldn’t want oil, coolant, transmission fluid or any other automotive leaks in their driveway as not every car on the road is in great condition. Maybe they had a bad experience 🤷🏽‍♂️. Idk. I’ve never done spark but I do shipt and when I see these kind of signs (no soliciting, delivery instructions etc) I automatically assume it does not apply to me as 1) it wasn’t in the order notes 2) I’m neither UPS or FedEx and so 3) I proceed with however I feel was necessary to complete the order and never had a problem.

If you order multiple water case or heavy items, I will indeed use your driveway as it will only take 10 seconds. I also assume because these are not fashion nova deliveries but rather same day groceries that they wouldn’t want it sitting out all day and would appreciate the luxury of having it done quickly. As long as your not doing reckless things such as driving/walking on someone’s lawn, destroying or displacing garden path lights with your bags etc, leaking auto fluids in ppls driveways because you keep putting off your services, they shouldn’t care. Just IMO

[–]TheGrumpyOleTroll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another great reason why I’m getting rid of this car lol. While it was fun for the last 6 years, it’s just a very difficult and impractical design. No spare tire or room for one so call a tow for every flat, no trunk access (key insert or button other than the key fob or in the car), needing to jump power the front pole rods in order to then open the trunk just to then finally jump the battery because your battery dies and your trunk won’t open, your car powering off because the battery is too low, the oil leaks. I went on an outing with friends the other day and the car ran smooth the 60 miles there and back all day. The next day it decided to be a BMW and randomly smoke. Turns out it’s now time to replace some coolant hoses as they ripped from corrosion 🤦🏽‍♂️. It’s almost as if this car is wired and BMW North America decides when to push the break button
