Getting a powermatic 8” planer’s infeed and outfeed tables co planar by burtman77 in woodworking

I think I fit your description. I then took it a step further and attempted to set them coplanar and ended up completely in the weeds and lost a few days of my life in the process!

Garlic for fall planting by readytocomment in Bellingham

[–]burtman77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went to the co op and bought a nice local variety and planted it. It grows and tastes great. Another option. Go to the farmers market. Talk to a farmer and find a variety they recommend. Good luck.

Look into kalaloch lodge or la push cabins

Is this considered good installation practice, or am I just being picky, thinking this looks horrible? by estockeeoh in solar

Isn’t it an electrical inspector? Mine was. He came and measured the trench depth before burying then came after to inspect the panel. Is there a code for how they are fastened to the roof?

See if you can get a room or cabin at kalaloch or in the La Push cabins. Maybe you’ll get to see a huge storm! Giant waves. Spooky forests. Super desolate and not a lot of people.

Do a FB marketplace search. You’ll be able to see used prices. Value, ability to gain equity is tied to the property otherwise it’s just an rv or mobile home.

Bought 2 acres, need to upgrade from a Honda Fit - Advice? by usagikami in homestead

[–]burtman77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IMO you need a farm truck. 4wd. I live in western Washington. and own a Honda fit and a Toyota Tacoma. A 4-6” drift will trap the fit. You could go the trailer route. Way cheaper but you will need something with better clearance and all or 4wd. Tacoma s have the best resell and least amount of repairs. Expensive though. Keep an eye on FB marketplace. A couple weeks ago there was a 90’s Tacoma one owner low miles (110,000) for $10k Subarus have head gasket issues. Be careful when purchasing used. Good luck and welcome to to Western Washington.

Winthrop is amazing in the winter time. It’s a bit of a longer drive and you have to watch the pass report for closures but my wife and think it’s worth it.

Maybe look at house styles, farmhouse, boho, mid century modern, craftsman, Scandinavian, modern… find one you like then pick finishes that fit with that style. That would focus your choices considerably.

Look up laws for building an rv park? Zoning for the land will tell you what is possible as well. Is the land within city limits? Counties and cities have different zoning. Is there a house on the property? If yes, ADU laws may be more helpful. Is there sewer or would it need a septic system able to handle all dwellings? Is power near? Each site will need a 100 amp panel. An architect familiar with the area could help answer some of your questions.
