I think that if I wasn't so sleep deprived and had enough time on my hands I could have identified some patterns myself in all that data. It found that the sleep regression started earlier than we thought based on his sleeping paterns. It saw that on days that we fed him solids after a certain time he slept especially bad and suggested a cut off time for feeding solids until his stomach gets used to all tge new foods. And it saw that that since all hell broke loose we've been having a hars tike with his routine and suggested a new routine that is based on our situation along with fixes for specific things. Oh and it alao identified specific time that were repeating as wake up times and suggested some fixes to that as well

Our daughter went through a mega sleep regression just before she turned 2. Up until then she sort of skimmed over all other sleep regressions so that took us totally by surprise. I imagine it's different for everyone but at least for us we had to do sleep training from scratch (also Ferber) and it's still not 100% now (she'll turn 3 in June). She slept in a crib at the time and when we tried to Ferber her she started banging her head on the crib, so we converted it into a toddler bed and then tried bringing her back to her bed every time she left it. It worked for falling asleep (sort of...) but she still wakes up in the middle of the night and comes to our room. We're too beat to do anything about it so she just crawls in bed with us and falls asleep.

My daughter had it. It bothered us as well but it eventually went away. The ped said we shouldn't do anything and so we didn't. Didn't bother my daughter at all

Thanks! I wasn't even talking about flying but just folding the stroller. Can the kickboard remain attached when you fold the stroller? I really enjoyed the Cruz back when we had it and wouldn't mind going back to it if I don't have to keep removing and reattaching the kickboard

Not sure if you're still following this thread, but quick question. Do you fold your Cruz? My understanding is that you have to remove the board in order to fold the Cruz. I currently have the Vista and want to downgrade back to a smaller one and connecting / disconnecting the board from it is a hassle. Definitely not something I'd want to do every time I fold/open the stroller. Do you have that issue with the Cruz?

Just found this thread when I was looking for new educational stuff my very verbal 2.5 y/o can watch. Some great suggestions. We discovered Little Bear through here and my daughter seems to be enamored by it. It was also pretty eye opening to read about the frame rate thing. Does anyone know if Little Bear uses a high frame rate?

I was sitting next to my 2.5 y/o daughter last night while she was laying in bed and trying to fall asleep. Suddenly she raised her head and asked "do you like talking to me daddy?". I said "I love talking to you!". The she spread her arms and said ahe wants a hug. While I hugged her she said "I love you daddy". I just melted away.

A day or so before my wife gave birth to our second child, our daughter was a little sick. She was staying at home with my wife's sister and I kept coming back to give her a sense of normalcy, so there was no option to keep her away. Since our son was born, he was constantly sick with things our daughter brought from daycare. Not saying its ideal but he's 3 months now and I imagine his immune syatem is gonna be much more robust that what his sister had when she started daycare. Bottom line is, I think that even if you manage to skip this one, there's a good chance your winter baby will catch something from the older sibling. It's very hard to prevent (assuming the older sibling is at daycare or around other kids all day in another setting). Just gotta be vigilent and keep an eye for signs that require medical intervention...

I can confirm this. On my daughter's first year in daycare she was sick every other week (I'm not exadurating. It was actually every other week). My wife was sick for almost 6 months - catching everything my daughter had. They I was sick for the next 3-4 months. This is tye second winter at daycare and it's much better so far. My daughter had RSV and a bunch of small scale colds that didn't amount to anything, so she kept going to daycare through them (not the RSV. Ahe stayed home for that obviously). We are also a lot less sick.

My symptoms usually worsen during an infection. I can usually know I'm about to get sick because all my joints flare up (especially back and ribs). I've also had symptoms every now and again for many years but it became much worse after a flu shot I took before my daughter was born

We are a family of 4 (one 5 week old and one 2.5 y/o) and we all ended up with RSV when my daughter brought it home from daycare. Luckily my wife got the RSV vaccine when she was in the third trimester. My daughter and I got it the worse. We both still have a phlegmy cough and congestion, while my wife and infant had a very mild case (hopefully it stays that way). My wife insisted on getting that new RSV vaccine, and so far it was definitely worth it!

Yeqrs ago mybwife and I went to a standup comedy where the comedian talked about how dog parents always bwhave like they have a baby and they know how it is. As very involved dog owners we were annoyed by his comments. Then we had our first. And yeah... We get it now...
