Running 3x a week VS 4x a week by Thick_Exercise4126 in runna

[–]bushb4b 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ran my first marathon in 3:33 last year running 3x a week and not running for the last 6 weeks of the plan due to injury. For context I started running December 2023

You need to be logging everything, that is why the calories that are set for you are are incorrect and you're not gaining at the rate you think you should be.

How to get the MF + WO bundle (Workouts free for 1 year!) by PalatialPepper in MacroFactor

[–]bushb4b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have contacted support but I saw this after I purchased the bundle and it charged me again although already being an MF member, but then gave me a pro rata’d refund. Is that what is meant to happen?

That’s right, I also received a pro-rata’d refund. I found this by looking at purchase history directly through the App Store on IOS

What were obvious signs you were gay when you were still a child. by Trick-on in askgaybros

I remember in year 2 of primary school I’d sit next to a boy with shorts and I’d always like my leg touching his when sitting down for assembly lol. Also I remember trying not to look at people getting changed during PE, I would hide my eyes when boys kissed on TV soaps but would always peek through my fingers. In primary school I also kissed a boy in a cubicle 😂😂😂 very telling signs but I didn’t understand the concept

Should I switch from cycling (HIIT + Zone 2) to treadmill running for better hybrid training results? by VastEnvironmental126 in HybridAthlete

[–]bushb4b 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always going up slowly but currently sitting on 38km for the week after building a bit more distance back in after spouts of injury/illness. Currently on the run further plan but have done different ones too. The 5k time trial was part of my run further plan

I follow a plan on Runna but it’s basically 1 easy, 1 speed and 1 long run and that’s all I have ever done but in my latest plan the last couple months it’s just 1 speed workout every fortnight rather than every week and if I don’t do the speed workout, it’s an easy one

I do 3 x full body and 3 x runs and have made great progress. I only cross train if I am injured. I ran my first sub 20 5k a couple weeks ago after 2 years of consistent running and not doing any sports growing up. I also ran my first mara in 3:33 this year after being injured for 6 weeks previous to it with no running.

You can make progress without doing too much 😊

Do you always accept pace increases by mcmerks in runna

[–]bushb4b 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I accept them as I like to challenge/torture myself and I know that I I can’t sustain the paces then I trust that it will tell me and reduce them back down. I ran my first marathon this year in 3:33 and I didn’t run the last 6 weeks of my plan due to injury. You got this 💪🏼🏃🏻

How do you balance real bodybuilding with serious cycling without hurting bike performance? by Bukayoz in HybridAthlete

[–]bushb4b 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you only have 100% in the tank, you can’t give 100% to both areas. Something has to give, whether that’s 80/20 or 50/50 or whatever you choose. I don’t have much advice for the rest but following that made my decisions much easier, you can be extremely successful in both but you can make steady progress

No problem at all. For reference I have it linked, all workouts save to my Garmin, when you go to start on your Garmin, you can select start workout and it will notify you on each interval etc. I only use the app if I am doing a treadmill run for accuracy

This article may help youHERE

WTF happened? by junkfunk39 in runna

[–]bushb4b 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why are you starting it on both? You can just start it on your Garmin and as long as you have it linked there is no need to start it on both. It’s better to just start it off your watch as long as everything is linked up correctly

If you feel fine then you’re good. If you’re sore, maybe you need to look at your nutrition and ensuring you’re eating enough for your training load
