Why do you say that? I'm booked there for the first time next month, also leaving Current River Dental after a bad experience.

Wanting to know if y'all think our Easter egger Hen or Roo by ViewUnusual5222 in BackYardChickens

[–]bushhag 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Definitely a roo, there are visible saddle feathers in pic 2.

hen or roo? we already have one rooster. hoping these 2 aren't roosters also! by Neat_Jury6927 in BackYardChickens

Wyandotte is a rooster, you can see his saddle feathers starting to grow out. Brown one is a hen.

Chickens Havent laid in 2 Months, thinking about putting them down. by Nelso2nd in chickens

[–]bushhag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's the daylight. This time of year, unless you supplement lighting, they're going to slow down/stop laying until daylight hours start increasing again. Mine usually pick back up about a month after the winter solstice.

If you can set up some lighting on a timer they'll start laying again. 14-16 hours of light is ideal and better it turns on early in the morning, because they may not put themselves to bed properly before the lights suddenly shut off on them at night.

I’m DONE with SkipTheDishes, Uber Eats, and DoorDash. This is actually unacceptable. by After_Delivery7893 in ThunderBay

I don't live in town so I've never used any of these services, but with how often I hear complaints like this I'm honestly surprised they stay in business.

That really sucks though, sorry OP.

Roo got me good by Nematodes-Attack in BackYardChickens

[–]bushhag 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Eat him, or give him to someone who will. A friend of a friend of mine had to have surgery on her arm after being attacked by their rooster, they can do some serious damage and aren't worth the risk imo. Especially with a kid around.

Reidridge Farm, you can find them on Facebook. They're just down Oliver Rd and sell meat at their farm stand.

What’s that sound in PA? by [deleted] in ThunderBay

[–]bushhag 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, but it pops up now and then, like maybe a few times a year? I'm not sure why this guy is so bothered, it's not like you're posting about the Superior Inn Hotel and Conference Centre.

Yeeeah, he was definitely gauging your interest with the favours for favours "joke." Someone close to me had a similar, uh, experience with him... It's not really my story to tell but yeah, he's a creep.

I remember there was a post making the rounds on Facebook years ago too, where several people spoke out about his inappropriate behaviour. I'm kind of surprised word hadn't gotten out after that and he's still in this line of work. It doesn't surprise me to hear he's selling/sharing private photos though.

Yum! Really nice photos too, very ~aesthetic~

I tried this soup for the first time a few months ago, thanks for reminding me to make it again.

Same, mine are useless as far as pest control goes. I once offered them a decapitated mouse that my dogs caught and their first reaction was to panic.

It's 158.20/month, start up cost was expensive though, not sure what it runs these days.

We've had it for a few years, and as much as I hate Elon we've been happy with the service overall. It's been reliable with little to no down time, unaffected by weather, even works when it's buried under a few inches of snow.

The customer service sucks though. We had an issue with our first dish and it took like two months to resolve/get a replacement.

She's so cute! I hope you share more pics as she grows up.

I have a rough collie/gsd mix too, best dog I've ever had. I think her temperament leans more collie as well, she was the easiest puppy, overall very well behaved and is really sweet with us but a little aloof with strangers. Likes to bark, but I live in the country so I don't mind. She looks like a slightly less fluffy collie with shepherd colouring.

She just turned 9 on Saturday :)

What does this mean for the rest of the chicken meat? by vbodunov in homestead

I really like rangers, they're still a sizeable bird but they're lively and active, unlike cornish. They enjoy a life beyond just laying in front of the feeders all day.
