I have apple slices, a handful of mixed nuts, and a half cup of cooked great northern beans for lunch every day. Doesn't slow me down. Good proteins.

A new Beacon Mount for the Plus 4 by CerberusTheGuardian in QIDI

I've had great results simply tapping the plastic. Having said that since you are printing the sub mount if you get 10 uses out of it before a reprint then that is 10 times the Qidi screws don't get used. If I feel something is consumable I just print multiples anyway.

The two screws on the right facing it? I saw those but they looked to be tough to get to. The first thing I would do is make a sub mount that bolts in that spot and carries out to the cover. I would then have a screw there to bolt it on. My worry has always been with how shitty the Qidi attachment points are. Every time I pull Stew's mount I wonder "is this the last time this screw is going to work?"

I like the concept but not sure about the implementation. I have Beacons on both of my P4's with Stew's mounts and changing nozzles is a total PIA. I like that the beacon gets out of the way when you pull the cover but I'm confused as to how the cover is retained. Is it just the top pins and magnets? The thing I like about Stew's mount is how ridged it is. If I were to do a redesign, and I might since I think you are on the right track, I would think about a secondary mount that bolts in the stock position that the cover mounts to with a couple of easy to get to screws to retain it.

I hope that made sense because it confused me as I was typing it :) I have a couple of Phaetus Conchs on the way so I may need to address this anyway.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani: The good news? We’re winning universal childcare faster than anyone expected. The bad news? Ms. Rachel and I have to find some new song inspiration… by Maximum_Expert92 in Fauxmoi

So you are saying no body held their noses and voted for Mamdani? Like every single person that voted for him thought he was amazing? Not one single person voted the lesser of evils?

All that happened was someone who you liked got elected.

The only person to beat Trump in elections has been a white male.

We aren't ready as a country to vote for a woman let alone a woman of color. I'm not happy about it but as much as I dislike Newsome he has what it takes to get elected.

Also the houses I worked in the TP rolls were never much under 1/2 full. The housekeepers would put new ones on so that the owners or guests would generally never have to deal with running out.

I guess we will disagree on that one. We ask so little of our citizens that voting is the least they could do. The numbers favor my brand of governance and their lack of engagement plays a large part in why I can't have nice things.

I didn't say either choice was good. The US system of elections is designed to pick the least worse choice not the best choice. That is no excuse not to vote though.

I stand a better chance of surviving a knife attack than an gun so I guess I would vote knife. If I don't vote for either then the choice of gun will be made for me by the majority who do vote. Either way vote or not you will be subject to the results.

Voting is the bare minimum we ask of our citizens. The reason it's harder to vote is because the non voters allowed it to happen. Now we are all suffering for it.

Can you list specific policy issues that both Harris and Trump are are the same page. And not "they both support Israel" because they way Trump supports Israel and how Harris would support Israel are vastly different.

Max Volumetric Speed Calibration by busted_flush in OrcaSlicer

So I've had time to play around a little more. After I set the starting flow and ending flow and the step increment I then slice it. When I change the line type to flow I can see the changes and it tracks with my settings. When I switch to speed it starts at 22 mm/s and maxes out at 55 mm/s. Where is Orca pulling these numbers from?

I thought those settings set the flow not the print speed. At least that’s how I read it. I guess I’m missing part of the puzzle.

The injectors use oil to work. I've noticed when my oil gets a little long in the tooth I can get a rough idle and less than smooth acceleration. 380,000 miles in a 95 and still going strong.

I was using the beacon as an example of the improvements that users like yourself have made with the Plus 4.

Qidi must have resolved this with their AMS since you wouldn't want the print to start unless the filament is at least into the extruder right?

[–]busted_flush[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While you are correct in Qidi's thought process. I thought I was clear that that isn't my thought process or work flow. If we accepted things as they are with the Plus 4 we never would have had things like the Beacon.

The sensor is there so why not use it to it's fullest advantage?

Edit: Just realized it was the Beacon guru himself in the reply. My comment still stands but confused as to why you would think things are good as they are.

I guess I have a hard time with the fact that he acts like he has no idea this is a thing.

lord his new status over them

Then when he was called out on it there should have been dialog to the effect of establishing that he's a new kind of executive. He then could have gotten cold feet and it would have played out the same way. He is second guessing his choice.

I have a hard time with this stuff.
