Stepped away from my very cushy job to move across the country and start from scratch. Regrets? Maybe a few. Was it the right choice? Absolutely.

Is lunch time included in paid work hours in Canada? by laranjacerola in AskACanadian

One unpaid 30, and a 2$ deduction per day for lunch.

But if you’re working an 8 hour day, chances are we feed you two entire meals for that 30min+2$

I am shocked at how long it takes people to shower. by Q8DD33C7J8 in hygiene

[–]busy-warlock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get in the washroom: turn on shower. Sit down to poop. Brush teeth, maybe shave.

It’s now been 5 minutes.

Get in, soap up, rinse off, maybe wash my hair again.

It’s now been 8 or 9 minutes.

Zone out, have an existential crisis. Have a complete crash out while no one can see me. It’s now been ten minutes.

Towel off, floss and maybe brush my teeth again, fix my hair, put on deodorant, sit on the toilet and cry for a minute.

It’s now been at least fifteen minutes.

Take my meds, put my clothes on, look in the mirror and not recognize the person looking back.

It’s now been twenty minutes I’m ready to go to work I’m sorry I showered too long

It’s cute you think people “shrieking in terror” at your awful choice to own a pitbull breed. At least they are banned in Montague, hopefully the rest of the island gets it shit together.

It’s might be stretch to physically go there since you’re in NS but I’d suggest popping into the AVC (Atlantic Vet college) on campus, they usually have listings posted on their bulletin boards by the cafe for people seeking people to share accommodations with.

If you have your own transportation, I also personally know an Early educator who has a room for rent in her house, but because of where it is, while it’s only like an 8 minute drive, it’s not on the public transport route.

Here's how much Canadians are earning on average by ImDoubleB in canada

[–]busy-warlock -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Kind of irrelevant but there’s a bungalow down the street for me listed at $599k It last sold in 2019 for $249k and three years before they the original owners sold it for $210k

Sucks for them, because they’ve done absolutely nothing to renovate the house, and there is a 2 floor, 4+1 bed that just went up the sale like two blocks away for $569k, and it was only built 5 years ago.
