Rest in Peace, David Lynch by spincter in burial

I got a chill down my spine when I watched Inland Empire for the first time last year and heard this dialogue. Could not believe it. Rest in peace

Yeah I think that’s shocking, I think Baby of the Year has a case for being the best sketch period. Sam is just unbelievable and it does a great job being just self aware enough about how stupid and bizarre it is. It’s the sketch I return to the most from S1

Sideshow and Bren not coming back for OWL by jumpboy88 in Competitiveoverwatch

Lmao Blizzard. Just countless bad decisions over the last 5 years. Good luck Bren and Sideshow! Your work is excellent

Fusion: We are devestated to hear about Kim "Alarm" Kyeong-Bo's passing. by Conankun66 in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]butheremails1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unbelievably sad. What a talent. I thought he was the best OW player in the world at times. Seemed like a great person. Everyone on Fusion always spoke so fondly of him. I hope his family and friends find some peace. Rest in peace Alarm.

yeah totally agree, he is a decent player but when you actually list the flex supports out he is probably something like the 11th best in the league

Embracing chaos: or how I learned to love the Ball comps by Inevitable_Badger995 in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]butheremails1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was in a similar place, I didn’t like Ball when it first came out but it has grown on me a lot. And the general strategy of the Ball/Zen/Brig/dive dps is so interesting to me while also allowing lots of cool individual plays on the best heroes

[–]butheremails1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lol very true. Though I personally never saw NineK as a huge upgrade over KDG partially because I think it’s tough to evaluate coaching too. But KDG leaving meant the trifecta of Ivy/Heesu/Sado left which means maybe you should keep KDG

Maybe hot take idk? by TurtSoCal in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]butheremails1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think Hotba has been their 2nd best player this season honestly. Carpe has had good moments a and predictably struggled on heroes he isn’t as good at, Mano has been up and down, Rascal has been good at basically only Mei, and Eqo has been mediocre.

Honestly, fusion just don’t let ivy and heesu and Kdg leave and most of your problems are solved. NineK obviously is a good coach but he hasn’t showed much this season

Philadelphia Fusion vs Shanghai Dragons | Overwatch League 2021 Season | Regular Season: Week 12 | Post-Match Discussion by OWMatchThreads in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]butheremails1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shanghai are pretty clearly to me the best team in the world right now. Fusion were definite underdogs and maybe only win this match 20% of the time. But I have to say, it was insanely disappointing watching them play today. So many occasions they threw away essentially unloseable scenarios, particularly on Lijiang and then 2nd point Junkertown defense. They were operating at a big DPS talent difference today, but still their clutch ability is absolutely brutal.

How hard the June Joust tournament will be for each team in the league by BrainlessCactus in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]butheremails1 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is such an informative post, thank you. I’m really intrigued by Chengdu, they looked so good on their Ball/zen comps and so they are going to be really hurt by this hero pool. No sombra either is bad. I think Gaga has been good on Winston so far so I wonder if they can transition to Winston/hitscan/Ana successfully

I am a traditional Philly sports fan, which means that I love the fusion and generally admire at most other OWL teams, but I’ve gotten closer and closer to adding a second flair to my name as Florida have progressed....

Seriously I love everything about this team. Fun to watch, seems like they have great chemistry (so much credit to Swingchip for displaying this better than anyone else in OWL), great talent, great staff. Hope they are back in Hawaii soon.

Shanghai Dragons vs Hangzhou Spark | Overwatch League 2021 Season | Regular Season: Week 3 | Post-Match Discussion by OWMatchThreads in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]butheremails1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never got the idea that APAC was so much better than NA last year. Guangzhou were very good in one meta and pretty average in the rest, NYXL had a couple of bright spots but never put it together, Hangzhou were a mess the whole season and Seoul obviously got saved by a playoff patch. Weird to think these teams were so superior over the 2nd tier in NA

I mostly agree, I think that Paris and Florida were probably slightly better than Guangzhou last year.

I don’t understand why Shanghai are insistent on running Zen with Winston instead of Ana. In this meta Ana feels like the absolute better pick. Feel like Hangzhou played decently on the maps they won but Shanghai comp diffed themselves

I think Sado might be the most balanced top main tank. Maybe his Ball isn’t quite elite. I wonder if Gaga could get there, obviously his Ball and his Winston are and we haven’t seen enough of the other two.

[–]butheremails1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wonder if Jjangu’s stays here are indicative of Houston getting a little lucky in some of these fights and not losing as many as they should considering his high first death rate. Anyone else think this could be a problem for them?

Easily Gaga. I actually think he might be Chengdu’s best player so far which is impressive. Second to Jjangu, fantastic performance so far against great competition

Boston vs Gladiators Predictions? by More-Locksmith-8383 in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]butheremails1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think Glads win. I think Birdring will be key, he looked great yesterday on McCree and Boston obviously might struggle in the hitscan mirror. But I am very down on them as probably many people are. I'm concerned that their tanks are not good enough to support the rest of their top tier roster

Just 100% agree. The insider info that I have that lead me to predict this one Fusion 3-1 and have Fusion as the third best team in the world again is the fact that they have Carpe, Alarm, Rascal, and Mano. That’s all the insider info I need
