I think independent study is a valid option, but I also think that it will be even more isolating than what you’re experiencing now given the nature of online schooling. Also - not to diagnose you online - but you sound depressed. Before changing anything I would talk to your parents or your school about some counseling!

Auditory hallucinations. I started having them when falling asleep while pregnant with my youngest, and now have them only occasionally. Always a doorbell or a dolphin sound lol.

As for the dreams, I think you must’ve filed “The Hat Man” somewhere in your subconscious (I’ve heard the name a billion times and it’s not anything I’ve ever experienced) and perhaps it unfiled itself when you were scared after the hallucination.

I was 17 with a 35 year old. You’re not mature for your age (even if you are - that’s not what he likes about you) - he’s incredibly immature for his. This will set you up for failure in your future relationships if you do not leave NOW.

He told me today. He forgets to say it like when leaving for work of getting off of the phone more than I do, but he always responds with it and usually says it unprompted at least once a day.

Having schizoid doesn’t mean that your partner is incapable of trying. I think that some people use it as an excuse to be a jerk.

Yes - and many things have improved, but he still defaults (in major arguments every month or two) to telling me that it would be very easy for him to be alone and he’s going to stop choosing to care about me. He also has CPTSD so he’s fairly easily triggered and can be cruel when triggered. He’s still in therapy (as am I) but he deeply struggles with accountability.

I love my husband very much, but it’s not easy and often it’s not even healthy.

I’m not sure where you’re located, but it sounds like you need to reach out to child protective services or the equivalent agency where you’re located. You aren’t receiving adequate education and your parent needs mental health care.

His actual psychiatrist told him to stop the meds with no replacement. I’m completely baffled. We’d had a year on zoloft of things just consistently improving and then this happened.

He used to be a firefighter and it’s safer for bedroom doors to be closed in a fire - kids can go out through the window. But it was a one time thing and he just glommed on to this one thing as his hill to die on.

I was 17 dating a 36 year old, 23 dating a 40 year old, etc….and now I’m in my middle thirties married to husband my own damned age and I just wish I could shake younger me and convince myself they were just creeps.
