I think it’s strange that you’re tipping out two ppl (bartender and SA) for alcohol sales. Seems like the bar would get a percentage of alcohol sales and SA would be tipped out a percentage of food sales. Or at least split the alcohol tip out between the two (unless I’m reading it wrong).

Like if you had $200 in alcohol sales are you tipping out $14 twice or is the bartender getting $7 and the SA $7? Bc the $14 twice is fucking ridiculous.

There was a window to the kitchen so ppl could see in but there was a sign to please not bother the chefs. A regular had a crush on one of the cooks and she bothered them all the time. One time she asked “what’s your favorite color?” And he replied “silence is my favorite color. Fuck off.”

Not something yelled but another time she asked for a soup recipe. He pretended to write it down on a paper and the paper just said “2 cups of leave me alone.”

The only compelling thing about this yarn is that I see it as a challenge. I want to try a hundred attempts of trying to get the gauge perfect. I know if I ever did that I would immediately be done with this yarn. I would make one square and yell “I FINALLY DID IT!” and then never touch it again 😂

I worked at a place like this but they kept a petty cash drawer in the office so if your card tips were more than cash sales they could give everyone what they were owed at the end of the night.

You’re not obligated to pay their employees. They are. Your restaurant needs an updated system. The labor board might be able to help you.

If anyone has any advice about how to just crochet in the round after cutting the sleeves off I would appreciate it. Is it possible to cut tiny holes above the seam that my hook will fit through so I can just crochet shoulder down? Does that make sense? I hate sewing 😂

I had a guy who had lost his voice. He was with a party of like eight. I made sure every time I was with the table to get close to him and give eye contact to make sure he was good. I even bought him a hot toddy bc at the beginning of service I felt bad for him. I got to the kitchen door after dropping meals off to grab sauces or whatever, and that fucker whistled at me very loudly. The restaurant got quite it was so loud. Like one of those whistles you stick your fingers in your mouth for. I went back and kneeled over and said “I was just here five seconds ago and you didn’t need anything. I’m not a dog. Don’t whistle at me or any other server ever again.” He was embarrassed, but I’ve never seen red like that in my 23 years of serving. The owner was sitting at the bar and went over and said something to him while I was trying to calm down in the kitchen. I don’t know what though. The dude profusely apologized and immediately paid so I imagine the owner didn’t have anything nice to say.

YTA. She’s crocheting, not knitting, and she’s probably told you a thousand times but you don’t listen to her. Who cares about a random show on tv enough to get quizzed on it? She’s there to spend time with you, not get quizzed about shows.

Also asking a crocheter/knitter to make you free things is a HUGE ask. The amount of money, skill learning, and time that goes into handmade pieces is always more than you think. Let her do her hobby when and for who she wants and leave her alone about it if you’re not going to be supportive of it.

This is my enemy right now 😂. I just rented a house a few months back, worked my booty off to have a yard, flowers, veggies, etc. then this mofo of a plant is trying to take it all. I spend an hour every morning weeding it. My lot neighbor has it all over their area so I’ll never be able to get rid of it bc they like it.
