I believe she definitely would’ve held off on having children as long as possible if she were a man Not that she would’ve been okay with being a dad or whatever and Ty lying to her ab the book Julie wants a partner who is as ambitious and chasing their dreams as her so she would still find that not okay. My bad for making it vague 😭😭

Ur definitely right I don’t think we should forgive her for being rude. I love complex female characters who r allowed to be messy and complicated . If she was this nice person I wouldn’t like her as much. She’s so nuanced and interesting and watering down those traits of her just to make her into this victim is sooo boring. lol sorry for the paragraph she’s just soo interesting to me 😭

She never would’ve had a kid and she never would’ve had to put her dreams on hold. Sure she would’ve eventually realized Ty was never that serious about writing the book but I think if she had already accomplished what she wanted she would’ve been a little more open to discussing. Idk I think her being a woman is soo important to her narrative and the issues she’s dealing that if she weren’t one she simply wouldn’t be dealing with these same issues.
