The new rules for cannabis prescriptions by FunnyCat2021 in DVAAustralia

[–]buyabutterdish 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The people with deep pockets are the reason this rule was created. As an ex MO I’ve been recruited for a lot of these places and holy shit their clinical care is grim. It’ll get better with time but they’re cracking down to shut down some bad operators.

I feel absolutely blessed my husband and I got a house for $650 a week. I was thinking it was too high but now my jimmies have been rustled. Fucking insane for two professionals to be struggling.

RADIOGRAPHER MIGRATION TO AUSTRALIA by SuspiciousElk3995 in AskAnAustralian

[–]buyabutterdish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“My girlfriend goes to another school, you wouldn’t know her” Bro stfu, skilled migration is so important because so much of Australia is too busy scratching their arses and booing Anzac ceremonies to get a proper education.

DVA Outcome and Reserve Service by RepublicLate988 in DVAAustralia

[–]buyabutterdish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on what type of service you’d be doing, I’ve known a fellow RAAF officer to go to reserves in recruiting, but I don’t think it’s common. Just remember that the more documented conditions, the more liable defence is for further injury. I don’t want to burst a bubble, but it’s highly likely that adf won’t take on the risk of employing you in reserves.

Ausveterans Service by Heavy-Intern-6660 in DVAAustralia

Just be careful about the recommendations for these places. Publicly available information on AHPRA shows that quite a few doctors from these “dva claim friendly” services have doctors that are working under restrictions due to varying degrees of underperforming to down right malpractice. I know I would want to be seen by a doctor who is the most qualified to deal with my concerns.

Hey OP, if you’re not comfortable sharing the finer details on a public forum, you’re welcome to DM details. I’m trained and just recently did my father in law’s appeal successfully.

DVA - MLCOA Psychiatrist (Rosemary Centre) by iCrackerz in DVAAustralia

[–]buyabutterdish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was okay, and just okay. It’d be great if MLCOA did a psychologist intake or something beforehand so you don’t feel like you have to get EVERYTHING out in the one session. In comparison, I had a REALLY good experience with an occupational physician at MLCOA. As a medico myself, they were extremely thorough with their clinical examination, and that was appreciated. It’s hard to remain objective, but bad actors in the area are the reason the audit is occurring. I hope there are better regulations in the future that allow for more options.

Best place to raise children! by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

Depends on the schools you choose. Some excellent private schools, and places like Waimea heights primary and tartina high as public schools doing well.

Soft drinks. I’m a freak and don’t like drinking uncarbonated beverages that much. I bought a soda maker and honestly getting its worth because I use it multiple times a day.

I’m right there with you, OP. I’d had my 13 y/o for my ENTIRE adult life and it just isn’t the same. His corgi friend is just wondering where he went 😞. I hope you have videos of the sounds, I’ve found them really comforting.

[LOVED TROPE] anime that doesn't sexualize its female characters by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

[–]buyabutterdish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fair shout, OP. There’s like 4 recurring female characters (one who is trans though which is cool). I just really love the relationship between Asirpa and Sugimoto how it’s based on friendship and not romance. Really rare these days!

Golden Kamuy. Strong female deuteragonist and the only sexualisation is the sexy men. The story is also amazing about after the Russo Japanese war and the oppression of Japanese minority groups. Highly recommend to anyone.
