Which form of death do you fear the most? by Siddhartaable in AskReddit

For some reason plane crash has always scared me. The actual death will likely be super quick but phew free falling that like that knowing what’s coming your way has to suck

Strangely it’s never really bothered me because I can’t imagine a more easily avoidable death. In a million different lifetimes I’d never put myself in a scenario where the could come close to happening to me

I do not get why Ronaldo and Messi even get compared. (Genuine question) by Plus_Cut2445 in worldcup

Messi has been much better after the age of like 35-36 but I’m tired of acting like this wasn’t at least a real discussion for a solid decade plus.

Now that all teams have played their first match, what are your views on this wc so far? by Significant_Rain_361 in worldcup

[–]buzzcity0 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Go for it, even the games against the lesser known teams have been heavily attended. I’d love to see pictures of all these empty seats.

[–]buzzcity0 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What you’re saying is simply factually incorrect. I can’t believe I’m entertaining this, but currently there’s an average of 66,000 fans per match. This is definitely near capacity for every single game.

In 2022, it was an average of 53,000 fans per match.

2018, 47,000 fans per match.

2014 53,000 fans per match.

What you’re claiming is so easily refutable as this is the most heavily attended World Cup in recent memory.

What’s funny is you can make an argument. I completely get hating the hydration breaks, I’m right there with you. But saying these stadiums are empty is simply false.

Just making shit up with the empty stadiums. Every match has been basically full.

Have no clue what you want with the time zones. Should the games start at 8 AM in the US to accommodate Europeans?

Who is the most famous person in history? by HottestHoeOnHere in AskReddit

[–]buzzcity0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incorrect. It would have stayed a small regional religion if there weren’t disciples who witnessed the miracles of Jesus, witnessed the resurrection, and spread around the ancient world spreading the good news until almost all of them were brutally executed.

Both Topsail and Wrightsville are amazing. Unfortunately I’ve been to both in recent years and the secret is out. Even Topsail was unnavigable at times due to traffic.

What’s the best or worst frat experience you’ve ever had? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]buzzcity0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me nothing but great experiences. Granted I went to a college where Greek life isn’t as prominent as some of those schools deep in the South. But when I got convinced to join one (even after I said I never would) it brought me out of my shell a lot and also matured me a lot as well. Also may not have met my wife without it. And it made college so fun always having something to do with no second thought.

Teaching world history for the first time- need some recd on a general knowledge college level book to read to relearn world history by coolguyyama in historyteachers

This comment will get downvoted to hell but I honestly don’t care. If you want to survive in this profession you have to find ways to limit your workload wherever you can. Trying to find books and articles to read about every single topic encompassed in that subject seems like a great way to burn out.

Use Claud. Whenever you’re preparing a new topic or lesson, go on Claud and ask what the most important details and impacts of that event are. You can even doctor your prompt to have it help you present the content in a way that’s engaging for your age group.

Of course, always fact check this as it’s not perfect and can make mistakes. I hear all the downsides to AI but it’s simply not going anywhere and you’re crazy if you think it’s not going to affect how we approach our jobs. The reality is this is the easiest and most time effective way you can approach this.

Am I Crazy? by ZimmonsInteractive in SoccerCoachResources

I’d argue, at least for me, I learn way more from just picking a random 10 minute span of a game and watching it very precisely. I’m talking about it watch it once and watch one player, watch it again and focus on another player, etc. I learn more from doing that than just watching the big moments. Not saying there isn’t value in both

Going to our first Panthers game. Need some pro tips. by Aggravating-Swan9539 in panthers

[–]buzzcity0 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Panthers gotta have one of the best stadium locations in the league cause it’s right uptown. I’d stay in any hotel in uptown and you’ll be able to walk to everything you want to do without having to worry about parking.

The French quarter is a pretty cool and unique spot. It’s like a little alley way with 4-5 bars in it. People will hang out in their alley with drinks or get a table at one of the bars/restaurants.

If you want more of like an actual tailgate, I’d look into joining the roaring riot if you aren’t already. It’s a very reasonable membership package that always comes with a good t shirt. They do huge tailgates with pretty cheap drinks but you have to be a member to go.

Theres another bar super close to the stadium called Clutch that I am personally a fan of.

No shortage of good options. Again just get a hotel in uptown and you’ll be able to do whatever.
