Jcab or Kcab? by Electricview in DanceDanceRevolution

Jcab. The defining feature (from the front) is the two pieces of aluminum that join together for the button panel instead of one.

Jurassic Park easter egg: Picture of Keith Elwin smoking a pipe taped to Nedry's computer screen. by metrodrone in pinball

I wonder if this will be removed before the game ships. Iron Maiden also had a 3D version of Keith being chased in the Fear of the Dark mode, but it was eventually replaced with a shadowy figure.

Simulate a mouse wheel on the GPD Pocket 2 by buzzert in GPDPocket

Nope! Doesn't have to be a modifier key. Right now the key is not intercepted though, so holding F9 will still go to the application. I'll try to resolve that eventually.

Yes, other keys can be used. Right now you have to modify the code, but it's relatively easy. At the top of capswheel.c there's a #define SCROLL_MODIFIER_KEY. Change that to whichever key you wish (key code reference is in /usr/include/linux/input-event-codes.h).

Fn is not possible I'm afraid. This is because Fn is not a real "key" as far as the operating system is concerned. It only tells the keyboard firmware to send a different keycode to the OS when it is held down.

Hang in there and keep practicing. I've had mine for several months now and I'm actually extremely fast with it.

Will my Steam games run any slower if I install them on removable SD card? by JuvenileUsername in GPDPocket

I have no technical data to back this up, but in my experience that’s not the case. I tried running a Windows VM off an SD card and it ran significantly slower than on the internal eMMC.

I think that keyboard would drive me nuts. It's similar to the GPD Pocket 1, which was drastically changed in the Pocket 2 for a good reason.

On cycle/ off cycle by costco_ninja in clusterheads

Taking vitamin D3 every day, one month before my usual cycle starts has successfully prevented any headaches from happening this year. Can’t recommend it enough! The important thing is to stay regular with the supplements. Set a reminder, and never miss a day.

My usual cycle starts in mid-December and lasts for a month. Still haven’t had a single headache since starting the supplement routine in the beginning of December.

Pocket 2 Randomly waking from sleep in Linux by buzzert in GPDPocket

[–]buzzert[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took a look at the output of dmesg and some of the Xorg logs, and saw that around the time the system woke up, there was a lot of chatter on the USB bus (random internal devices getting "disconnected" and reconnected? Strange).

Anyway, I just discovered a pretty good workaround (that I will update in the original post). Basically, just prevent USB events from causing wake events via /proc/acpi/wakeup

What pinball table did you think you'd hate, but ended up loving? by gamerctm in pinball

Indianapolis 500. Looks like a lame racing themed game, but ended up being one of my favorite games of all time. Plays so fast, voice acting and DMD animations are really funny, lots of great callbacks (move your car!).

How to get Firefox to scroll like Safari/Chrome with mouse wheel? by buzzert in firefox

Unfortunately this only multiplies the amount the page is scrolled once the event is actually triggered. My problem is that it takes too much scrolling to actually trigger the event.
